Default Refund via paypal..

hi all,
i recently made a order from china using paypal and got given 2 tracking numbers which went to 2 totally different address's in the UK, neither of them went to myself.. so i immediately opened a dispute over paypal, the seller said the courier had got mixed up with address's (which i didn't believe for a second) the seller then asked me to close the case for him to send the goods, which i also wasn't falling for..
Iv never had a dispute over paypal without opening it via an ebay transaction, i haven't heard anything from paypal regarding the case but on the notes it says ''paypal have sent e-mail to buyer and seller'' on 18th sept (which i haven't received) iv sent a e-mail to paypal explaining the situation but still heard nothing back...?

just wondering how good they are a giving refunds out and roughly how long does it usually take as it said upto 72 hours on the case but iv waited well over a 14 days now..? any advise guys?

cheers!

Hi

Do not close the dispute until you have received your items. Have you escalated the dispute yet?

Was it on the 18th you escalated? When you check the case in the resolution centre, what step is it on? (Step as in: Awaiting other party's response, Requiring your action or Being reviewed by PayPal.)

they will ask the buyer for tracking and maybe other details.

is the tracking showing as delivered to different postcode or area?

basically the courier may have made an error

yes case escalated on the 18th, its onto the second to last step, "being reviewed by paypal".
the tracking details i got came up as 2 different locations around 100 miles distance from my address, i rang paypal up and they said if its not sorted in the 72 hours stated it could take upto 30 days to make the decision, but surely its a simple case, the supplier has basically robbed me... :O

A lot will depend on IF the seller has already got the cash out. While this is a forum meant for sellers, it isn't right that he has screwed you over. Hoping you get a good resolution. Ring him up.
