Default Paypal - This Limitation Cannot Be Appealed

Hi guys,

Just a quick question, I have an ebay account with feedback score of 489, I am a top rated seller & bronze level powerseller.

But now my Paypal account has become limited, they have finally linked me to some accounts from years ago also got limited. They have given the "this limitation cannot be appealed" and the account is frozen, luckily only with around £30 in it.

Is there really anyway to add another Paypal account to this ebay account?

Its taken so long to build it up, it just seems such as shame to have to start all over again.

I thought things were going well as this last Paypal account had been in use for around a year, it was in my wifes name and all verified etc, then out of the blue they basically shut it down.

I have rang them and asked to speak to a manager, as its complete bull really considering I didn't have one chargeback or dispute, and quite clearly the fact that my ebay account is a top rated seller & powerseller should say that I am very low risk...

Any ideas?

Forget it and move on.

If you add another p/p to your e.b it will all end up the same as this one.

I think this was the second Paypal account I added, as the first got limited over a year ago now.

I've got to give it a go anyway, nothing to lose really, just wondered if there was any hints regarding not having a new paypal limited straight after the first sale into the new account.

PP does not know if an account is Stealth or legit. If done correctly you won't have your first sale limited.

Get the stealth guide, read it 6x, then go to the subscriber section to ask more detailed questions.

You're not going to get detailed questions answered on a free public forum.

So you've lost two p/p accounts attached to the same e/b account.

What do you think is going to happen if you attach a new one?

If you keep doing the same things then you will keep getting the same result.

True but like he said, what does he have to lose? It's a TRS PS account, I wouldn't just move on either. OP, In the mean time make or buy a few stealth accounts and start building them up, if it happens again at least you'll have something to fall back on. Hopefully the Ebay won't get shut down too but it most likely will sooner or later, hopefully later, good luck!

Well got a pleasant surprise today when checking emails, Paypal have restored my account!

I'm amazed but hopefully this will give others some hope even when they are told "this limitation cannot be appealed"

I appealed, pointed out the fact that I am a Top Rated Seller & PowerSeller and looks like this time someone reviewed the account who isn't a complete dick!

Thanks for all the advice previously, great forum!

Tread carefully with this account from now on, it is on their radar and any more hiccups with it could well see it limited again in very short order.

p/p are not your friends, you are now probably flagged as a potential risk and they will not allow a second appeal should you get limited again.

You have been very fortunate so far
