However having a current valid card does add to it's strength as it makes p/p happier that you have a backup payment option in place. You can also use the card for purchases and paying e/b fees.
Entropay is a good source for vcc to use with p/p. They have a 12 month expiry and once expired they are allocated a new expiry date and security number while the card number remains the same.
All you have to do then is just update the new expiry date and security number on p/p when the old one expires.
