Default Paypal Limited.

Ok so clearly somethings going on but what i cant seem to find is a clear cut answer.

Set up stealth back in May on my own. i didn't buy from here. I did the the whole VCC thing then added bank accounts etc after. Cut a long story short this PP was on Account type: premier status verified. about a month ago i was asked for id which i sent (DL) and a few days later i received an email to say all was fine and account back to normal

I've logged into PP last night purely because a few people cant pay me for items bought on Ebay (totally legit items no vero etc) and have a message on the account as follows:

Your account access is limited
click here to learn how to remove this limitation.

when i click the link i get

Your account access has been limited for the following reason

6th December 2014: For reasons relating to the safe use of the paypal service we need some more information about you and your account to help confirm your identity

your case id is XX-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX

no cases are open i cant see any way to send docs etc and theres nothing to say why or what the issue with the account is. also didnt recieve an email from PP to advise of the limit i found it myself by logging in...

any ideas as to whats happening
thanks

That's a permanent limitation with that message and if there is no way to send documents.

180 days from the day it was perm limited you MAY get your money. Reports coming in showing they may need proof of ID to get funds, possibly a passport or something similar. No one has hit that 180 day mark yet since these limitations have come in (obviously) so as of yet we have no info on that.

The documents you submitted were these arranged yourself or purchased?

Strongly advise against that. You were lucky with yours as you weren't permanently limited.

People DO NOT ring PayPal if you ever want a chance of seeing funds again!!

Same situation,

Paypal account limited, with no chance to appeal.

I was not sent an email alerting me of this, had to log in to find out.

The account:
Set up and verified, active for over 1 year. The ID documents were purchased from here.

No menstion of 180 days to withdraw... not sure if I should call or not, I'd rather refund all my buyers and let them have the free cash instead of paypal keeping it!

Welcome others thoughts on how to proceed in getting the cash out.

Listen to Callidus who has said in numerous posts that at this time its best not to call in.
When 180 days are up, paypal should email you. This is what i understand.

Always advisable to withdraw small amounts over time. Leaving in paypal enough to.cover fees.and a few refunds.

Never should be leaving large amount in PayPal, enough for 10-15% rolling amount for any possible refunds and enough for fees. The rest to be withdrawn SLOWLY.

That's fine but PayPal can burn you at any time and staying ahead of the game is a good idea, keeping large amounts of funds in there always ends in tears. Has happened to me many moons ago

Hear that loud and clear - usually I aim for 3-4x the average sale amount to be left in PP...been in that situation of large amounts being held way back
