Activity: 0% Longevity: 83% | | Very scared, got chargeback for selling bag in Dec
Hey guys, I sold an used bag last year for $600, I closed my ebay and paypal accounts this year and a month ago got an email from the buyer saying that my high end bag was xxx, I replied saying I didn't know and also bought it used and if that was the case she could send it back and will refund and I'll try to do the same to recover my money.
Yesterday got an email from paypal even though my account has been closed for several months saying that the buyer charged backed me through his cc company.
I sold another bag for $200 but that was it, will they sue me? the buyer sent the bag to repair and the shop told her it was x. I'm pretty sure paypal will take the money from my account but it worries me if the shop or anyone else can take legal action. That's all I've sold, please help
thanks

When you are crying and asking for help, dont add the smartie smiley....
Try at the very least to make your story worthwhile
So what you are saying you only sold 2 such bags, you closed ebay/paypal AND bank account and that's the truth, the whole truth....

I used my real name and po box on both ebay and paypal, it was a new account with 30 feedbacks. The buyer never replied to my email just chargebacked the transaction yesterday. Should I reply to her? will the high end brand sue me? I don't know what else the buyer is planning to do. In her only email said it was a criminal offense :C

Yes green beans 2 only, but my bank account is not closed. I don't care if they take the money back as long as nothing happens to me, I can't paste a smiley face, I have stop selling things on ebay after they suspended my account for copyright violations, I didn't sell more high end items only cheap sunglasses $20 each.

Let me see if I got this Correct, You sold 2 ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Designer bags, one for $600.00 annother for $200.00, then a Bunch of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ sunglasses for $20.00 Each, and on your accounts you used your Real Name and a P.O.box as an Address ( Using a P.O. Box, Man thats Brilliant)
and Now you Need Advise.
Well what I would do is go Down to the Police Station and Talk to One of the Detectives and tell them the WHOLE Story,,,,Im POSITIVE that they will Guide you from there,,,
Keep us posted,,,,,

You got caught selling knock offs. Buyer did a direct cc chargeback so paypal will come after you for the money. Any way they can.

Thanks for your answers.
Only one person wrote me back a month ago saying she sent the bag to repair and wanted the $600 back, I told her didn't know but offered refund and asked to send it back.
She never replied but last Friday paypal emailed me about the chargeback transaction. My paypal and ebay accounts are closed but my bank account is not.
Should I her again about sending the handbag back to me? or not? I will close the bank account as soon as paypal takes the money out, but I'm very concerned about what else could happen, if the lv shop has the bag or the buyer, as I don't know what else she's planning to do.

You're not paying very close attention here.
You used your real name. Regardless of whats open or closed, PayPal will come after you for the money. Period. Any way they can.
Yes, get whatever was charged back for sure! They cant have it free...

1. Get the Stealth Book to understand how eBay, Paypal, etc. work before getting back into business.
2. Then you will understand why giving your real name/info and selling cr*p is dangerous.
3. Yes Paypal can take you to collections and ruin your credit since they have your Real info.
4. Will the company come after you? For that amount? If you are this scared about that, you are not ready to sell cr*p for money - sorry but tis the truth. You need to understand more about the law.
5. Whether or not Paypal takes the money from your account, I would deal with Paypal proactively since they have your real info.
6. All the members in this post have taken the time to look at your thread. Be more open and respectful and you will get good answer.
Sorry if I sound arrogant but the truth is rarely all skittles and rainbows.

If they get their money all is well. If you plan to step up and cover the loss, call them and say so. Ask them to reopen account so you can transfer the money in to cover chargeback. They wont fight that
And contact whoever bought from you and ask for your stuff back.

we sellers have to give refunds and returns all the time, what makes you so special
closing the account, was not going to make it go away, pay back money and try to get goods back to your PObox, which may or may not happen, and next time you sell f ake goods make sure you are prepared for people not being happy, especially if they were sold at geniune item price. Nothing wrong with selling disposible fashion items if they are cheaper than original, most people know what they are getting and want the item but selling at real price is greedy and dishonest and will bite you occasionally...

$600 for a knock off purse?
In the future set up everything stealth. If something similar happens, close the bank account and move on.
Sure, with proper warrants the FBI and Interpol might find you, but I highly doubt they will try for a single item.
