Restricted from listing well known branded goods?

I recently tried to list a genuine p90x for sale on Ebay and it was removed after the rights owner contacted ebay.

Ebay sent an email that said i should contact the rights owner and provided their piracy email, i contacted them twice and got blanked.
When ebay sent this email they also suggested i take a tutorial that says if the rights owner does not respond then ebay can contact them for me. I also contacted the official outlet on ebay that sells p90x and they suggested that ebay should contact on my behalf aswell.

When i rang CS and asked them to do this and explained that their own tutorial suggests that they should contact them they were no help at all which i am not a stranger to when phoning these scripted bots. I asked to speak to her manager 10 minutes later he came and told me he will contact them for me and let me know what their response is, the following day i received an email to say he could not contact them and it was my responsibility, so he blatantly lied haha.

A few days later i tried to list a genuine used armani exchange polo i bought in las vegas and got an alert saying i can't list well known branded goods, even though the account is 10 months old and i have already sold a fair amount of branded goods.

Has anyone been targeted like this with no explanation for the restriction. My question to anyone who has been in a similar situation is will i be able to list branded goods ever again on this account as i'm literally a couple of items away from top rated seller status?

PS this is not a stealth account it is my own but i feel that stealth is going to be the way forward from now on. Thanks

You will be targeted selling p90x for sure, whether it is genuine or not. Simply due to how many f*** items people try to list. I would include a receipt and the model number in your listing. If that doesn't work, I would just try to sell in on CL. Don't risk destroying a good account trying to sell this.


Same thing with the Polo shirt. Ebay is strict on brand name items due to the level of fraud. Unfortately scammers have messed this up for you.

Selling P90x or anything on disc like software, seems like one of the HARDEST things to sell. Never tried it though but everyone I see who's tried it, has seemed to have failed or gotten limited

As for branded clothing & accessory items, I've never had problems. They are always fine (for me at least) if you take lots of pics, detailed descriptions, and have 10+ seller feedbacks, preferably 20. (Assuming the items are genuine)

P90X fly off on craigslist for good prices too, pay attention to your listing though competitors always flag em'.

To your question though unfortunately what you've been trying too sell is high VeRO, probably top 10 especially with the P90X. Your choices are limited, you can either sell them in another venue, create a stealth account which is pretty easy btw and try to list on there or call eB up and ask why you can't list the Armani polo, which I feel would be pointless sadly...

I'm not sure why the Armani polo was restricted, I could probably sell those on a brand new stealth, maybe your account is being monitored after the P90X incident.

The people who sell P90x are all on new accounts. Accounts dont last with those things.

I have sold the p90x on another site, but the fact my account is 10 months old with over 100 feedback and now I can't list branded goods is ridiculous. Will this ever change or is this account flagged for good with no hope of change regarding this issue?

The fact that your ⊗⊗⊗⊗ **** is being removed is not because someone manually removed your listing LOL! You think they have nothing better to do ? It's all automated. okay let me explain ... You try to list 'white apple' on ebay on new account ... Now issues .... Now try to list white apple iphone .... Your listing either going to be removed or flagged which will not show up until 12 hours later. It's all semi automated, sometimes completely automated.

Unless you provide receipts, plenty of pictures for proof, and a disclaimer to the rights owner that they are real, then you will always run into issues. Once your account gets an item pulled for being ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or not, you should never relist that item or it will just get removed. You have the right to resell any item, and if they dont allow you to do so, I think you can take legal action.

At this point of time, with takedowns occurring, you would be wise to let the account cool or do other sales.

Why reply with something that isn't constructive and doesn't even attempt to help with my question, which is why I can't list an armani polo but I can list other things

What was your previous selling history like? I notice you said you are nearly at TRS status. Is everything fine DSR wise & feedback?
What's on your seller's dashboard right now?

BTW, what you got from ebay UK message wise was their standard pass the buck notice.

Hi GreenBean, i have had no problems with what i was selling previous to the p90x listing. My DSR ratings are good and my feedback is 100%, i need to sell another 15 items and about £70 to reach the 100 item and £2000 TSR requirements.

My policy compliance is low though at the moment which they would not remove even though i have phoned them and explained the situation.

Is it worth finishing this TSR rating off now as it's so close or should i leave this account for a while and establish some stealth accounts?

Good stuff that you tried the phone call - risky but courageous. So your account was not banned or suspended.

You can work on the rating but you cant sell that p90x - sell other things that will move. Establish new accounts

Hi rsot, no ban or suspension just an alert when i try to list well known branded goods saying i can't.

I'm most definately staying away from listing any beachbody products as they are clearly nothing but trouble whether theyr'e genuine or not.

Yes i think i will finish this TRS off with low risk items and establish two new stealth accounts which is alot easier with all the info provided on this forum, thanks.

Like rsot says, make it both.

Make stealth accounts but nuture this account to its potential.

Whilst the account is viable, keep it so.

Yes, they were my own pictures
