Re: Amazon Selling Category
You have to request their approval. For some categories, it is relatively easy. For example, the apparel category is pretty open - they will want to know what you intend to sell - if it is nothing copyrighted or trademarked and/or you own the copyright or trademark, then you are very likely to get an easy approval. If you want to sell brand name apparel, such as Louis Vuitton or Coach, then they will want your supplier information to make sure it is authentic.
Other categories are more difficult, like DVD's. To get approved, you will need to provide your supplier information and then invoices for EVERYTHING you intend to sell for any DVD's where the MSRP is above $25 (which is virtually ALL of the new releases, box sets, etc.) and they are VERY PICKY about your supplier. There are some AUTHORIZED SUPPLIERS that they are not accepting for whatever reason.
All you can do is sign up, apply and see what they say.
