Google Checkout does request information and verify documents - and check EBAY status - Page 4

Welcome to the forum. Please read this thread. It is not so much that GC checks your EBAY status regularly, or at all, but more that they, like any other credit card processor, want to know that you are doing right by your customers and want to know what your business is.

If your business is selling on EBAY, sure, yes, they will follow up to see what you are up to there. But no, they do not access your gmails or anything stealth like that to find out what you are doing. They just limit you unless you have a website attached to your profile that shows what you are selling. And if you have no website and tell them, well, what I do is sell on EBAY, then certainly they proceed to check out your reputation on EBAY. Simple as that.

Why do sellers even use google checkout when it likes to steal money from sellers and given buyers free items?

Please review the forum. Googlecheckout is awesome and has helped me immeasurably. I have had no problems with them at all.

If you read more closely, you'll find that the ones who have issues with GC were ones that got permanently limited by PayPal first, for good reason.
