Can someone tell me if there is some serious delays in the USA with USPS?
I have had this with a few parcels going to my USA mailbox recently and feel like i am never going to receive these items since the postage used was Priority Mail 2-Day™
All parcels were posted from different states as well.

I ship almost all USPS Priority Mail, and yes there is something going on that is delaying shipments
And I noticed this the last few weeks
Also a lot of misdirected mail, I mailed 2 packages going to the same address priority mail, both going to Florida, the one arrived within 3 days which is normal the other went off to Minnesota and said it was out for delivery and than the next day it started heading back towards Florida but it took 6 days for the package to arrive and that's priority mail
And this has been happening a lot the last few weeks, or tracking will stop 3-4 days in one place, and two days ago the buyer said they haven't received the item, and it has been 7 days at that point and I could see it just stopped, so I shipped another order out yesterday , and last night noticed the first package started up again and was delivered today
So there has been delays, packages lost and than found, lot of weird things
The only good thing they all have made it to their destination but 2-4 days than normal
Normally Priority mail If i shipped it out Monday Morning it would be delivered on Wednesday now it's been Taking till Saturday or longer if it was misdirected

Just know though even though with priority mail they may say 2 day or 3 day it's not guaranteed just an estimate
But it's definitely way off, hopefully it's just because of the winter weather and they get back on track soon

I have several items that have taken 22 days longer than normal and some still not arrived when the normal shipping time s 7-10 days. Its resulted in 6 INR cases and a negative on the same account.
Trying to get the defects removed is seeming impossible even though they can see the delay in the tracking.

Luckily I haven't received any bad feedback or messages except the one but it was a cheap item and I reshipped after they messaged me and than the first package arrived the day after so they got 1 free.
It could be do to the winter weather, but I don't remember these delays in the past years, hopefully they correct them and don't get worse

Was thinking it is Definitely the weather guys.
USPS does the same thing in the dead of winter that, fedex does during it's Christmas season... Workers seem to just not care lol!
It's like oh a package... Don't really care where it's going.. I'll just push it over in this pile.

Funny I came across this article. Had a similar situation with a package going to Florida getting caught up in Houston Texas for a little over a week. Expect more shipping delays from USPS starting next year | abc13.com |

My first class mail just stops for 4-5 days and than starts moving , it's taking 8-9 days and priority is way off, it used to take 3 days now it's 5-7 days
I have a package I shipped on the 3rd still not delivered, on the 7 th it was at its destination in Tennessee and I looked today it says arrived in Tampa Florida
I feel so many packages are getting misdirected to the wrong state, now it needs to go back to Tennessee it's already day 7 for priority mail

Thankfully, MOST of my shipments have been fine. But a few HAVE been delayed. Certainly the weather has played a part in that in some areas of the country. However, they are also understaffed.
At the moment, there is a political battle going on over the Postal Service, with one side wanting it privatized and the other wanting the status quo. In some cases, it is taking a long time to replace workers who have quit or retired. Sorting centers are being "consolidated" and the politicians are wreaking havoc with the system as each side tries to gain an advantage. While the USPS is a semi-independent agency, Congress still writes the rules and controls their funding. So bills are passed, requiring them to make advanced pension payments, or ordering them not to spend money on certain things. It is a mess that will probably not be resolved anytime soon.

Major issues here as well. All my shipments are First Class and Priority. All being delayed way beyond normal and now have a huge order gone completely missing for 6 days now. Rerouted and now nothing. Was f*cking priority and of course customer is freaking out. I hope there will not be more or I'll be ins some sh*t. I allow people to pay extra for Priority or Overnight and I'm getting refund requests for those as well now.

I keep all free shipping on all my listings , that's the only thing saving me from defects from this, but I just hate when it stops in one place for 4-5 days with no movement and than the buyer messages me and I'll Reship another and than the first order gets there also
Luckily it's been all low cost items but instead of making $1 profit on these items im now losing a couple $$$
It's hard explaining to buyers about the delays because I have to say up until 2015 they have been on point for me
I ship mainly Priority and it used to be every package would arrive within 3 days , I ship only with in the 48 states
But now cash flow is also getting squeezed on my newer accounts with holds, before Id make a sale, I ship same day so from purchase to funds available used to be 6 days now it's 7- 15++ sometimes
Also I'll ship something 2 states over and it will take 7-9 days and yesterday I shopped something coast to coast and it's in California in one day very unpredictable right now

Regardless of shipping upgrades though, customers still want you to reship or refund.
I mean, I'm getting the silly morons who email asking if you are a sca.mmer...all because the package either stopped or has been rerouted. So, they just think I magically made it disappear or shipped somewhere else altogether.

The weather was very bad in North America when that item was shipped.

Op.
I have a situation now, there is a buyer who purchased from me and says the item did not arrive yet.
I shipped priority (next day after he purchased it).
I have a feeling it is re-routed somewhere.. I'm going to dig and pull up the tracking info.
I think usps has a bug or something.

I have mostly first class mail but also some priority mail disappear for basically a week before the tracking updated and it was delivered.
