I had a parcel go missing in September. The buyer opened a case for item not received, I refunded immediately and the couriers paid out in full. Buyer then gave me a negative feedback. I have checked and this now shows as two defects on my DSR's. Correct me if I am wrong, but I understood that eBay would only count one defect for the same item

What i would do is send a very formal message to the buyer along with a feedback re-submission form. Say that the parcel was acknowledged missing by the courier thus making it not your fault.
