Default question about IP -24vc

I think I may be feeling paranoid or whatever because I tend to disconnect my Dedicated IP everytime I am done on ebay. I mean, I tend to login to ebay like more than 20 times daily. Each time I login, spend like 5 min or so then logout and disconnect my Dedicated IP, close the browser and my browsing history e.t.c automatically flushed

Does it really matter disconnecting the IP each time I logout of ebay? Is it safe to keep ebay login all day so long as I am not switching user? So I can just get back to that computer within seconds, check what's happening and go away.

I tend to go through this process because I am concern any little glitch or a few second technical error to 24vc will reveal my real ip.

Flash reset itself from time to time. I delete my browsing history for extra protection. You can't be too careful. I installed a plugin that auto delete all browsing as well as the flash cookies. My Ip is only the same but everything else is deleted once I closed the browser.

By the way I use portable browser.

Very happy so far

Should look into using VMware that way you can have a whole "computer" technically dedicated to that account. So you don't have to worry about browser history, cookies etc.. It's probably better if you leave them anyways so definitely look into vmware.

Also if your using Windows there's a really good technique you can do for free that will only allow internet access through the VPN, so if it disconnects then you won't have internet so no fear of any mishaps.

If your interested open a ticket with the tech team at 24vc and they'll get you some more info on how to set it up

If you're using Portable Browsers OP - why not just follow the steps regarding turning off Global Flash Settings and then copy the Firefox Portable installer into a new folder and installing it.

So much easier than the way you're working now, potential to be linked easily with 1 mistake.

Humm. Dont see any fault in my setup other than taking extra precaution. My portable of course is in a separate folder and I load it from that folder alone.

Re: Turning Off Global Flash Settings: I have noticed that to be turning on again. I personally studied it and that was the reason I decided to install plugin the Click&Clean plugin which delete all history including flash as soon as I close browsers.

You dont want to be too confident your GFS is off at all times.

If you turn it off PROPERLY on 1 browser then copy the install file to the next folder for the new account it will not be turning itself back on.

Question: When uploading image to ebay. Does it matter if I load the image directly from the main desktop or must images also be saved on the portable's own desktop? I tend to load all images from main desktop.

Loading them from your main desktop is fine, just remove the EXIF data etc
