Was wondering I have dsl and a router hooked up. I have 4 computers 2 desktops 2 laptops. 1 computer desktop is hooked up to dsl modem port. The other desktop is hooked to the external router port. and the laptops are on wireless from the external router.. now with the router can I create separate ip's for the 3 computers that are using the router only? or will I still get the same ip of the dsl modem.
when each computer hits the internet i check the ip they all have the same ip address.how do I separate them to have their own identity.

I tried connecting two modems to the same line yesterday just as an experiment - I can have an internet connection and a phone line at the same time so why not two internets?
I didn't think it would work, and it didn't!
Wishful thinking... (or maybe no thinking at all!)
