Activity: 0% Longevity: 69% | | all my new accounts get restricted until I call
any body else having this issue? I have created about 10 ebay accounts in the last 6-8 weeks and almost all get restricted until I call & play the dumb game.
They just ask how I will ship and request I link my pay pal account & I get reinstated, I used to get this maybe 1 out of 10 accounts, maybe even less than that, I haven't changed anything I'm doing.
On one I did not get to call back in the 48 hour time frame & they would not reinstate me, Is this just a new practice where they want to speak to an actual person?
Is any one else having this problem? I hate being on hold 4 30 minutes with all my stealth info just in case they ask more in depth questions.
But they usually don't. Is there a trick to getting around this annoying hurdle? any help would be great thanks everyone!

Fast call, now happens when you rush and create accounts and sell too fast, verify confirm and link accounts , browse on ebay few days than list a low risk item and you shouldn't need to call.
But since you have to call link your accounts and call is easy I never had hold tines

Got to start off solid to begin with.
Link everything together and browse, bid, etc.
Nurture the account.
Start off solid and you will have less chance going through all the hoops later on.

I don't Know just got another, I think this is a new trend, And DMshark25, I have waited & used them to bid with sometimes before I sell, I think they are tightening down, This time I was on hold for 27 minutes, Probably because they are doing more of this. we shall see....

How long do you browse and bid for? I like doing this for 2-4 weeks - I still sometimes get the MC999 but not always

What type of item are you listing.
I list on 2-3 new accounts ever single week of my own and never get mc999s ever.
It has to be something you are doing, listing or something.

I just create my 16th account yesterday and have yet to be mc999. I create the bay account and link my paypal right away. Both get verified in a few days after I confirm the deposit. Browse and play around with ebay option for 3-4 days then I start listing. Only on one account did I receive a call from ebay, and they only want to verified my ebay id and address over the phone.

Could be the info you enter in each account. If you get 100% MC999/calls and you follow the stealth guidelines here, it is likely the data you picked.

I only list harmless items, I always keep the account. they just ask if anyone os helping me & how I will ship. they also ask if items are in my possession or if Im using a drop shipper
I have over 50 accounts but this has happened to 75 percent of new accounts all summer long

I think not linking the accounts is a mistake.
It could be the types of items you're selling. Some items never get a flag of any kind, and some are guaranteed to raise flags.

@OP, are your initial sales all penny starts or less than 0.99?

no penny sales, I stick with old VHS tapes or books starting around $1.89- $2:99. really harmless stuff. and sometimes I do wait a few weeks after creating a seller acount to list. Im guessing it may just be a string of bad luck. I sometimes pick the brain of the ebay rep & they almost always say they do this to every new seller. tthe very long wait times on hold do support that claim.
also I have a lot of accounts & onlu about 10 bank confirmed. and these unconfirmed (at least 7-10) have very high selling limits Im talking 750/ $75,000 & 450\ $40, 000 with no holds on payments. I could cut & run on a lot of these but I never do
I don't like wasting a bank account on a pp account until Im certain it holdd up a while. thats why I don't confirm right away, I havent needed to.

It's not just you OP. Something is going on the last 15-30 days. I did nothing, nothing, nothing different from the accounts I had over that period and now all hell has broke loose. I know that doesn't make it better but you can stop blaming yourself. Ebay has another type of detection or whatever and we have to figure out what it is by sharing.

Yeah I agree joesshooze, I just think Its a new hoop eBay is making us jump through, The long hold times on the phone, 30-45 minutes suggests they're operators are busy doing the same thing to other accounts, It is annoying but at least I have done so many I can sit here & list, read the forum, package items while I'm on hold & talking with the operators, Its become second nature to me.

I have been running many many tests lately and when I call, some reps are intrigued about:
* Am I connecting to my account with different devices ( = why I have some many different IP address)
* Is your phone provider a landline / google voice ? (they can check which operator assigned you the phone number)

I wouldnt worry, and I woulnd't agree it's about not following stealth. I've opened accounts, verfied, created browsing history for weeks, bought a item or two, listed a book, and gotten MC999 within 5 minutes. Other times 2 hours. But no matter what, 6 out of 6 accounts have gotten it. I don't mind, get in, get out, get raised limits, and get on with it. Beats selling only 10 items for 3 months.

If i buy a ebay account from this website, pref the 100/5000 limit, after doing some browsing, and buying one item, and then sell a few $1 items, what are my chances of a MC999? I hate those, recently made a new account MC999, then gone, then MC999 again after my first sale ($200 item).

$200 first item is guarantee to get flag. Anything that smells like electronics will get flag. I usually list a pair of used socks and never have problems.

Would one or two be enough, then I can list $200 electronic item?

On new accounts ill list one or two low risk items like a book . Than I'll let it ship make sure feedback is positive and than wait till the next or following month to list the normal items
It's good to establish your new account with its user account and IP , and establish a home with cookies
The longer you wait the better, after selling that one low risk item I would wait a month and doing this I have not got those mc999 since my first group of accounts and limit raises come so much easier and sooner it's all a nice system now
Create 10 new accounts sell a book come back to those accounts in 2 months to start listing to the limits than out of 10 3-4 will get a limit raise but 0 mc999
Now this is the way to do it if ur not in desperation of income, my first 25-30 accounts I was in a hurry and did that mc999 call in to get reinstated.
Once u have enough accounts just keep making groups of accounts every month and eventually you will have a new rotation come up every month that u made and sold one item 2-3 months ago that are ready to go
