Activity: 0% Longevity: 59% | | eBay app after being suspended?
Hi there one of my accounts got suspended. I used the app daily with this account.
Since I've been suspended I've opened another account, on the same handheld device, I've obviously cleared cookies, browsing history etc etc. But I haven't bothered signing in via the eBay app or the paypal app, as I'm not sure if eBay can see what accounts have used the apps if that makes sense. ? Same with the paypal app.
I'm using an iPhone. I like the eBay app for quick re listing and to get addresses quickly for postage.
Any help would be grateful.
Thanks.

Yes, they have logs if what accounts have been used with that device. We don't recommend using any eBay or PayPal apps at all!

Ok thanks I'll keep of the apps.
What if I made a new app store email/account surely then it can't be linked? Better to be safe than sorry though so won't use it

Thanks. | Hope you cleared the flash cookies on the adobe site?
I suppose I agree with everyone, unless you were willing to wipe the phone clean, as if you were selling it or sending for repair.
Maybe there is then a way to load only what you want back on with the cloud back up.

You can wipe the phone clean, but unless you change it's MAC address, it can still be followed. This is where MAC spoofing apps come in handy... I haven't tested this yet but maybe someone else has.

After reading this I take back my original statement. Clear what ever you like but this UDID thing seems to be set in stone and open to Apps that you use. But there is another thought on this. What if you buy it second hand and someone else had been linking to the apps or any other apps that ebay have access to, as they are part of that share users group.

I'm thinking along the lines to the app has access to private info that is on your phone like your name and address, or Apple ID, etc..
I'm just not sure exactly to what info they can see

I'm just not sure exactly to what info they can see | Search UDID Unique Device Identifier on google and there is loads of info on there.
One of the articles says that if the product is free then you are the product, as they sell the info on you to marketers. Which will give you some idea of what info they are getting. But I am sure if you search there will be a list some place of what is collected. I know location is one of them. |

This is really interesting.. we'll get to the bottom of this soon.
The more fancy your phone, the more it can do.. the easier it can be tracked!

It's their raison d'etre.
They want to manipulate consumers. |

How safe is it to use an iPhone for tethering to a computer after using the app?
Or should I be looking at investing in a new device for my internet connection?

Originally Posted by Dmshark25 As long as you are using a good IP than you will be fine | That's what I am a little worried about. I've used the phone for about two years now and never had the need to log ip addresses.
From the little testing that I've done with ip addresses on my phone in the past month I haven't had any duplicates, however very often the last two or three digits were similar.
