This is an ebay sale, no longer have ebay 21 day holds but now get this email along with Notification of Instant payment.
All my transactions have consistently been $200-1300
This is the email:
Process the order quickly to get your money faster.
Hello Xxxxx Xxxxx,
Xxxx xxxxx just paid $581.00 USD for item 281514922376.
Here are the details:
Buyer name: Xxxx xxxxx
Transaction date: December 2, 2014
Transaction amount: $581.00 USD
Your transaction ID: 1HYXXXXXXXXX
The money is in your pending balance and typically available 21 days from the transaction date, or once the buyer confirms they're happy with the item.
We're holding the money because this transaction may involve higher than usual risk. This may be because:
We found an unusual change in selling price for this transaction.
The transaction is inconsistent with your business model.
You're selling an item that can potentially cause dissatisfaction with customers.
Your account was inactive for a while.
We noticed you only recently started selling outside of eBay, so your history with us as an off-eBay seller is quite short.
Here's what you can do to speed things up:
If you used USPS, UPS, or FedEx, provide a tracking number. Your money will be available within 3 days of the delivery date (7 days if you're shipping to an international location).
Mark your item as shipped on the Transaction Details page. Your money will be available within 7 days of the shipping date (14 days if you're shipping to an international location).
If your item doesn't need to be shipped (e-book, piano lessons, etc.), mark the order as processed and provide details. Your money will be available within 7 days after you mark as processed.
Thanks,
PayPal

Yep I received the same, one of my accounts recently had holds lifted and i had an item sell that was little higher value than normal and had a hold placed
But it was after two weeks of receiving the same or higher payments with no holds
The good thing they held maybe 4 transactions and that was it , haven't received that message in couple weeks

Would love to be bringing in that kind of money..but on every account i have, there has been no limit increases yet. God is not on my side with that one.
But im running along at snails pace. But il get there in the end.
Well done for making such good sales. An inspiration to many of us that it can be done...we just need to be patient in the beginning

I have found a way around it as well.
That email comes about 15-20 after then instant payment notification. If you are on top of your game, you can withdraw the funds as soon as payment comes in and before they send that email.
Also, it is not shown in your pending funds. It is a separate tab.

It's a strictly paypal hold, because in eBay it is shown as an instant payment , just another change because of the split

This is another sleeper account. It only has two products listed on it as BIN. Most $89.99 full retail items. Balance is because I sent funds out last friday and that was what was left over.
These funds are being held for 21 days. Is it because no feedback or some other USPS tracking glitch compared to fedex proof of delivery?
These are the only two accounts that have unusual activity. Neither issue bothers me or effects me in any ways.
$5.39
Available
$1,756.89 Pending

$1,756.89 Pending | I just realized this paypal is only at 60%. VBA got booted in error on my part printing labels off the ebay page and not selecting later with a zero balance. I wonder if no bank is the issue.

The no bank is a biggie.
I just had the same hassle with an account last week.
It sounds like you have a bootleg rolling reserve?

The other is a new paypal hold, as in brand new I have never seen or heard of before myself. Glad to hear Mr. Shark has.

Yea, I have 5 K ending in eBay Auctions tonight on one account, it's sucks I now need to be logged in paypal as they end and quickly cherry pick the payments as they come in and get them out, before that email comes after the instant payment saying "you got cash"
Looks like the direction paypal is going toward now that they are breaking away on there own
I understand the 90 day hold, because, most scammers will not wait and make it thru than just to make a couple thousand and get **** down, but now once eBay stops holding funds PayPal is now going to jump in
It's ridiculous , trying to run a business with no cash flow they are out of there minds, and they may be testing and tweaking new software, because just like they say they don't recognize your device , the one you always and only use, they are now saying the same about selling practices and holding funds, I didn't change anything for 2 weeks I was selling the same priced , same items and than all of a sudden they started holding saying unusual activity or whatever the list of BS Reasons
But like I said once I caught on and seen it was delayed, once I moved funds out they stopped and it hasn't happened now for a couple weeks
But if they hold my Auction funds tonight I'm closing shop and just leavin a message with EBays phone number saying
" my partner has took off with your funds and holding them and I will not be able to fulfill any orders, please contact my partner at 18665403229. "
And ditch that account, they want u to work while they just hold your money for no reason and make money from your money , it's now getting over the top

so the next payment I logged in really quick paid the postage and than sent the funds out, after catching 3 payments the holds stopped and haven't come back
That's another thing because this is independent of eBay, once they place the hold on it, you can't even get funds to pay Postage , because it's like eBay treats it as an instant payment , you won't find nothing saying the funds are held , it's all done by paypal
I mean they pick the best time of the year to be doing things like this, it totally confuses me how they continue to grow, it's like they can screw over as many sellers as they want which in turn screws the buyers but somehow they get bigger and bigger, I don't get it
My whole business model is based on that they put holds for the first 90+ days and than after that unless you do something out of the norm the funds have been instant, and now that they are working independent of each other in this case, It just totally messes up how I operate, and right in the middle of the Christmas season, how stupid could you be to start new things the busiest month of the year and not in just a few weeks when it will be nice and calm
I just don't get how they think cash flow in a business is just not important, it was established already that we need to be a 90 day history first, but now they are saying you get 90'days and whenever else we want to hold your money
How am I as a seller supposed to model my business plan not knowing if I'll have cash flow or not
Makes me so mad that they just continue to do one moronic thing after another, I mean next they are going to say funds will be released 180 days after a sale is finished
