Should I complete direct debt D/D set up?

I added my new bank account on my stealth PayPal . Pay pal request that I complete direct debt set up. Should I complete this set up? Is there an advantage of setting it up? Will setting it up detrimental due to Pay pal and bank account names being different? I am cognizant that they need this set up in case there is a dispute they can withdraw funds from my bank account if funds in my Pay Pal are deficient.

As far as I am aware DD is mandatory, its purpose I believe gives PayPal the ability to automatically debit funds from your account in case of chargebacks however, you should NEVER send funds through PayPal direct via your bank as it is "suspected" to reveal the account name. You should go ahead and setup the DD, but always make sure you leave a balance or at least have a card with funds just in case you need to pay for say eBay fees..

I had a situation once, where I refunded a buyer in the UK however I only had USD balance, PayPal decided to attempt to refund the buyer directly from my savings account, due to this it automatically unlinked the savings account and would not let me add it. A short cal had it sorted out but I was sketched at the fact they may of had the real name tied to the bank account.
