Will this get me linked?
Hello,
I have a question regarding my internet connection setup..
I have three computers at home:
Computer 1: This is a desktop PC which is always connected hard wire via an ethernet cable to my router. This computer has had a suspended account logged in recently.
Computer 2: Macbook laptop. This computer has had a suspended account logged in recently.
Computer 3: This is a brand new computer. I created a stealth account with this computer which has been active for a few weeks now.
Here is how I am connected to the internet:
ROUTER----------COMPUTER 1 HARDWIRE
|
|
|
COMPUTER 2 (wireless only)
|
|
|
COMPUTER 3 (HARDWIRED, not always plugged in)
Here is my situation:
Everytime I log into my Amazon account, including when I created it, I did the following:
1. Disconnected the ethernet cable that connected the PC to the router.
2. Changed router settings (changed MAC address of the router, which effectively changed my IP address)
3. Plugged in COMPUTER 3 hardwired to router.
4. When done on Amazon, I change router settings once again (MAC ADDRESS AND IP ADDRESS)
I always perform that process when I am on Amazon.
I am planning on selling Computer 3. Therefore, I will be using Computer 2 Wirelessly. I know I need to clean up computer 2 before logging into Amazon.
My question is, is the fact that Computer 1 (WHICH IS DIRTY LOL) is hardwired to the router, will that link me? Even if I am not actually using that computer to log in? So say I have the following situation:
ROUTER------ COMPUTER 1 HARDWIRED (DIRTY COMPUTER)
|
|
COMPUTER 2 (CLEAN, logged into Amazon)
Will computer 1 screw me up? Or do I need to physically disconnect Computer 1 and change the IP/MAC address on the router each time I connect a clean computer?
THANK YOU!
