Activity: 0% Longevity: 66% | | Can I report another seller
Hello,
If I created my own listing on Amazon. Later another sellers sale in that list.
1. Can I report them?
2. What Amazon will do with them?
If I'm the original created that list, can I edit it later? (pictures and descriptions)
Thank you

Report them for what? Competing with you on a sale? You can edit it later, yes...but I'm not sure what you would be reporting them FOR...

I don't see this as being an issue. I mean, you don't have an exclusive right to sell Samsung cameras. Per Amazon's rules, you cannot create a separate listing for an existing product in their database unless it is materially different from what is already listed. So, if this other seller wants to list this item, it is probably the only way he/she can list it.

Yes, that is the rules, but you can see peoples created their own list all the time for the same products.

I understand your frustration. Back before I went stealth, I had people (other sellers) watching me on eBay. I would spend hours and hours finding a niche product that I could sell for a decent profit. One day, I noticed competition was coming, not in weeks or months, but within days. And from the same sellers.
So, here I was doing the work, and they were just watching me to see what I was listing so they could sell the same thing. This REALLY pissed me off, but what could I do?
One of the benefits of stealth is that I am able to hide my success to a degree. Competitors will eventually find everything, of course, but at least now I have a few weeks to make some decent sales before everyone else jumps in and starts the race to the bottom.

Not much you can do except constantly changing your own business operations to keep ahead.

The best way to get away from the completion, is to bundle your products.
If it is a camera, throw in a free card, or a carry case.
This makes it really tough for any one else to jump on the listing, as long as you make the bonus item fairly unique and sell the bonus item at just above cost.
Also, since you have creative control of the listing, edit it yourself to include the bonus. If your competition does not see the change, their customers will be mighty pissed off.
Hope that helps.

Thanks | Thanks. Once you realize it, you will notice quite a few people do it on AZ.
It has many potential avenues for sales of different things when you put you mind to it.

Hope that helps. | Would you need to use your own unique UPC code to do this? I LIKE the idea and I know that UPC's can be had for a few dollars. If I do something like this, I would want to stay within Amazon's rules.

I would only buy UPC's from an official source. The last thing I would need is to use a code that someone else was using. I know that there are authorized companies that sell them, sometimes in 5 or 10 packs for a few dollars. I'd rather spend an extra $10 and not have a problem.
