Saving Google Authenticator App

Anyone know how to backup google authenticator app correctly? I have icloud backup of the phone but it just backs up the app and not the codes.

You use it on your phone? I'd assume it backs up when you sync your iPhone or Android, no?

save the code or the images. Use a second TOTP program, not just google if you want a backup.

You can back up the entire app using your mobile phone so if you ever lose the app/access you can always restore all your authenticator codes linked to your authy app
