Re: NO FBA Reimbursement Amazon Lost package
amazon is a disgusting company.
I worked in one of the biggest fulfillment centres as a summer job during universityas a picker.. so my job was to follow the scanner and pick items and put it in the trolley. Dont get me wrong, the pay was decent. If you worked 6 days, they pay you £700 after tax and that was a lot for a 19 year old me lol.
Anyway, i can see how they lose a bunch of ****. The place is filled with temp workers like myself, loads of young people just taking the piss with work and still getting paid (I did this a lot xD)
You can walk around the warehouse and see boxes of stock just lying around in the foyer area of a department. From day 1 they give respnsibility for 'stowers' to open the boxes that people send in and shelf them. Some of the time, these stowers just ditch these boxes in some hidden places so they can fk off to break on time. The usual thing you had to do was bring the box back to foyer department before you go on break, but the time it takes to do this eats into your break.
The whole warehouse is a huge ass place, it would take you at least a good 30 minutes of constant to cover each area of the warehouse. If youre unlucky enough to have some dkhead stower just dump your stock somewhere completely random, it will probably be days if not weeks till someone picks it up and takes it to the problem solve desk
anyway, sending 30k of stock in one go was a risky decision. the fulfillment centres are a joke. you can literally get away with anything for 6 weeks as the centres are desperate for workers since the work life is trash. Just curious why you didnt send them in 6 batches?
