Smile What about requesting to close the Amazon account?

After twice same policy warning, my old account was closed by Amazon, but then appealed successfully. If I get one more same policy warning, I will kiss goodbye to my old account for good. So it's like each account has 3 lifes for the same plicy warning, and now i ve got only the last one left.

I am thinking if I request to close the old account then Amazon should let me use the same details to open a new one? If so, will they give me another 3 new lifes for the new account?

The benefit is no need to go stealth

Anyone tried this out?

Ive never tried it but amazon are not stupid. If you could do this then surely everyone would try it once their account was in trouble.

I'm amazed that the appeal worked.

Maybe posting your appeal response could help many of us out.

If you don't mind us asking, which policy warning was it, and was it on FBA.

Great job on the appeal process Latting

We're kind of keeping too much of that off open forum.

There's a good thread with posts by Kelly441

That may benefit you

Many approaches to this - you are already in a risky position for sure (as you know).

If you request to close it and then open new one in same details, I am sure that Az would a) not give you 3 new "lifes" and b) would consider just banning you outside.

Your statement : The benefit is no need to go stealth....that is not a benefit at all. Stealth has many benefits and allows for spreading of sales to avoid the multiple policy problems (example)

I sell something imported from HK, which is genuine and exactly the same as those in EU. So cutomers never had any complaint. It's the EU official dealer, they complained to Amazon I am not authrized EU distributor/seller.

I Simply followed Amazon's appeal template, tell them I will first sort this with the EU dealer, then re-start to sell.

Please do not be naive and think that makes your account squeaky clean. Bad marks are just that

They are there to haunt you and the viability of your account

was a yes or no answer. There is a company on amazon uk using bullying tactics in this sector.

I dont see how asking to narrow down the product to a billon dollar per year industry is too personal.

Good to know - would figure they would prefer to solve it internally but that is one way to get the e-mail and proceed then
