Default Amazon feedback removal?

Does anyone know if Amazon offers any kind of feedback removal? I'm fairly new to amazon selling, and don't know quite how the system works.

I had a buyer purchase a game from me, and on the listing it's clearly stated as "NTSC-J and "JAPANESE" alongside Amazon's default "Ships from Japan". The customer didn't open a claim or anything, but simply left feedback stating that there was no clear indication it was in Japanese. As I say no claim, yet, so as far as I'm aware I'm keeping the £40 it cost them.

Would Amazon remove feedback in this case if I called or am I stuffed? The account is fairly new to selling, so it's a big percentage hit on my feedback rating.

They don't remove feedback often at all, but why not call anyways?

Risky since buyer tends to have a lot of influence - if feedback is left, you could reach out to seller support and see what they say. Some people have had success with incorrect feedback left by buyers

It does not fall under any of the reasons why they would remove it. However, I have been very creative and have had feedback removed. Also, send like 10 identical removal requests. Each time a new employee responds to it. I do it very late at night and sometime you get lucky and get a new trainee tht will remove it.

Just go to seller support help/orders/feedback problems and explain why you want the feedback removed. Also under the feedback put your explanation of what happened. Feedback is important but metrics are the bigger picture for amazon.

Getting feedback removed has gotten much harder since they put in the new system a few months back. If you get the Asian call center there is no chance they will remove it. First option is always try and work with buyer to remove it. Usually they ignore these requests but if you get creative maybe they will respond.

The buyer seems to be accepting the fact she's lost £40 and hasn't bothered with a claim or anything, just the neg.

Do people actually look at Amazon feedback? As I say, new account so it's at 91% which I think is pretty low, thanks to that one neg.

Got a reply from customer service, hit a stroke of luck with this one:

Quote:
I am glad to inform you that I have confirmed that the feedback on order xxxxx, which you submitted for our review , qualifies for removal on the basis that the buyer has mentioned the price and therefore I have removed it. Please note if the price wasn't mentioned, the feedback wouldn't be eligible for removal.

It"s done right through the feedback problem link. You can see the name of the person that replied. 9 times out of 10 it is a different person. I can get a lot of feedback removed

Do you mean you send 10 requests all at once to try and remove the 1 feedback you're targeting?

Does it help to try once, fail and try again a few weeks later? I figured the employee just looks at the previous request and sees it as a "NO" and follows suit. Thanks Kelly

One after the other, total of 10. 9 times out of 10 it goes to a different person. Works great, have been doing it for 2 years with great results. It depends on how likely they are to remove it. For the tough ones I send 10 wait a week send another 10.

Thanks Kelly! Amazon now sends a message over to the buyer saying that their feedback has been removed, allowing them to get another chance to alter what they wrote. Ever had any problems with this yet?

Edit: I just tried to do another removal request on a neg that they denied removal on already... says that I have already inquired about that and to please view case #123456. It seems like I don't have the option to contest it once the verdict has been given. Am I missing something here?

As per Kelly, you have to keep firing off the revision request...

I'd say they give the buyer another chance for feedback maybe 1 out of 10 times.

Sometimes they will refer to the case and sometimes they won't, you just have to keep plugging. Hey if you throw enough crap on the wall it will eventually stick.

So I think on the feedbacks where I got denied and waited past the 10 day period, there's not much I can do about it at this point =/ still good info for the future, thx!

Why not contact buyer if amazon reject to remove the feedback.
I know if you contact buyer, and solve the problems, the buyer can remove the feedback for you if buyer wants

hi, they do remove feedback it is in the options of seller support, however it is rare. If there is swearing or for other rare situations. It is not unheard of so worth trying

I have great success with feedback removal on my seller profile if it related to an item. Email amazon and tell them it violates their terms and that the buyer is required to leave product feedback on the listing, not the seller profile.

I'm not following you. If it's not stickerless commingled inventory and a buyer leaves negative feedback because it is say not functioning, your saying to just tell Amazon "it violates their terms and that the buyer is required to leave product feedback on the listing, not the seller profile" ?
