No tracking number for items
Hello,
Shipping stuff is expensive, especially when Amazon takes a big chunk from what you earn.
So I send my stuff with normal shipping most of the time, since most of what I sell isn't that expensive. I only pay extra for tracked/insured shipping if a customer orders a lot, or expensive stuff.
Most of what I sell is priced around 25-30 gbp.
If someone buys something for 25, Amazon adds 1.26 for shipping, takes 5 in fees.
25 - 5 + 1.26 = +/- 21
Standard shipping & packaging costs 5 gbp.
21 - 5 = 16 gbp.
I've paid around 10 GBP for most of the stuff I sell, which leaves me with a 6 GBP profit before taxes.
Tracked shipping is more expensive. It costs around 9 GBP.
If I use tracked shipping, I will only make a 2 GBP ''profit''.
But now some customers want the tracking number of their 25-32 gbp orders, but I don't have any.
What should I do/say? :(
The estimated delivery for their order is until the 20th of july, the first possible delivery date is the 10th of july, but they're already nagging >:(
