I need help getting amazon positive feedback.

Hi All,
I have sold successfully on amazon for about 6 months now and I have only 2 feedback. I have sold about 45-50 items and I have asked my previous customers to leave feedback and no one has responded or left feedback. Can someone help me get feedback on my account before it gets put on hold/reviewed?

what were you selling? if the answer is clothing then I wouldn't recommend asking for feedback.. that's a no-no

Just out of curiosity it's ok to ask for feedback on transactions unless it was for clothing???

Yeah because it gets too personal with clothing. Say someone buys jeans from you and she thinks they make her look fat what kind of feedback you gonna get?

Feedback is important as we all know. However the rest of your metrics is more important, maintaining all the ticks green in your seller performance panel. This is what amazon really look at. On the bright side you are no getting negative feedback so amazon will assume all is OK.
Just keep e mailing the customers asking if they are happy with the product and if they have time please leave feedback on there experience, put the link in your e mail.
Does not matter what you sell, request feedback, regarding zoneout if a customer left this type of feedback you can request for it removal as its 'review of the product' which is not allowed.

This is very true advice. It is also possible to win the buy box with little good feedback. Happened to me many times even over sellers who were getting 10 x times more good feedbacks than me. Strange but true.

Yes, exactly. People need to stop thinking that they can simply just "sell" on Amazon and be done with it. It would be nice if we could list a product, sell it, ship it..done. But then you're only playing part of their game.

You NEED to spend time on getting all your metrics in order and this process can/should take many hours each week. You do NOT want to have to go into panic-scramble-recovery-mode once your ODR or other stats start to get out of whack.

Also, from what I have seen lately, featured status acts different than it used to. Rather than someone reevaluating your stats and hitting the on/off button periodically, it seems that being featured is directly correlated to your metrics almost in real-time.

Additionally, you have to maintain higher metrics than before to remain featured. If your response time goes down under that 90% within 24hours or your ODR goes to 1.01%, you risk losing featured almost immediately. It can affect money by quite a lot depending on the nature of your business. Sometimes you gotta lose $100 to make $1000, that's all I'm sayin' =p

let me put the amazon feedback situation in perspective for you. last year i sold according to amazon 11000 items and only received 600 feedback.

I wouldn't worry about it especially if your metrics are good.

also keep in mind that if you keep pestering the customers for feedback you will get a policy violation as amazon sends out its own emails asking for feedback in your behalf

thank you, but the review/hold comes very quickly when you do not have feedback and this is what amazon says.

Dude, no it does not, amazon email all your customers anyway for feedback. The hold/review as you say comes when your metrics are out of sync. GOOD METRICS LONG ACCOUNT LIFE. Simple to say, hard to maintain.

I have had over 50 amazon accounts with perfect and near prefect metrics but because I have had little feedback, my accounts have been put on hold and lifted multiple times and amazon tells me to email the customers for feedback. After receiving the feedback the holds has been lifted the same day and that is not a coincidence. Good metrics are not hard to maintain if you login to your account once a day to maintain orders and questions. It is very hard to get someone to leave feedback. On the amazon message boards, it says amazon is happy if 20% of your customers leave feedback.

If thats what you believe then OK, we all have different views and experience. You have done very well to get feedback in one day and then the hold been lifted. I will give you an example, I have a relatively new account with over 15,000 sales and less than 600 feedback. This account has never been suspended/funds hold etc, but the metrics are 99.92.

Feedback does play a part in getting reviewed or at least it did. If sales start getting too far ahead of feedback to sales ratio then amazon do initiate a review. This is not something new.

I have experienced this many times but it's normally in the first month or so. Amazon will be happy with 5% feedback on an established account but below this is a risk on a new account from what I have encountered.

However I think this might have changed slightly with other metrics coming into play. My latest account has not had a single review and It has had a pretty low feedback to sales ratio.

I'd say your both right, but maybe Micky is a bit more up to date.

Thanks Barry, amazon are analysing accounts far better than they where a year or so back. Positive feedback is not as important these days. Negative feedback will set alarm bells ringing, so IMO if you are not getting negatives and the metrics are all green you will be fine.
