The CVV number is a totally seperate security check from AVS.

An AVS check has only two parameters: house number and zip (post) code.

They don't do this for Amazon.com (US) yet. They might for UK though.

Many (most) websites do require CV2 to make a purchase. Walmart.com is an example, so is BestBuy.com

CV2 is another layer of security for online retailers. Just google it and you will have all the answers.

most of big sites dont ask for cvv ,

Just wanted to clarify that not ALL sellers on this forum selling amazon cards, are selling cards that expire within 2 weeks. Mines last several years (only works for USA) and I'm sure there a few other sellers as well who last longer than a few weeks.

But yeah I agree with the others its vital that they dont expire quick or else its pointless

Didn't intend to imply that, but for several sellers here it is well known/advertised that the cards are used for Verification only.

Best bet for anyone looking to purchase a VCC from the forum: Look for sellers that advertise cards that will work for years. If they have that feature, rest assured they will advertise it!

Very true, that's a good point it would indeed be advertised!
