Amazon VCC validity time

Hello,
I bought a VCC from this forum 21 days ago to register on Amazon, and it worked perfectly
But today , for my first disbursment, the say the card is not valid.
I know they check for each disbursment , but is it normal the vcc not valid after only 21 day ?
I already asked to the seller, and he told me that it's normal of course, i just want someone can confirm>

Has the seller confirmed that the VCC is still active?

If it isn't then that's the problem.

i just asked him , but he says it is active for only few days or weeks and that it is the same with all the sellers.
It sounds weird but as i never did it before, i don't know if he says the truth

That's standard procedure for all VCC's sold on this forum. He's not lying.

So it seems all VCC sold for amazon on this forum are pretty useless as you need to buy a new one every 2 weeks. TOOKNAPA, have you not got a regular credit card?

Yes, i have some regular credit cards here
i just read on the forum that i can put any name i want, only number and postal code has to match.is that still true ??
If yes, i will save good money !!
If yes, does it matter if i already used bank account for deposit methode on a suspended account ?
does the postal code has to match with adress i put on amz ?

Given Amazon runs a pre-authorisation before every disbursement, it is vital that the VCC needs to remain active for the duration of the time ie 1 year, 3 years or whatever.

If the VCC is "cancelled" after a few days / weeks then it makes the whole process of buying an Amazon VCC a total waste of time. This probably explains why people report VCCs adding fine and then getting removed after a couple of weeks.

Based on some of the other posts, it seems that up until recently Amazon took no action if the CC authorisation at disbursement time failed - they certainly are now though.

Any name will do on the credit card for amazon "use Mickey Mouse if your wish"

Amazon do an AVS check, which is post code, house number, and 3 digits on the back of the card. From my experience if one matches you are fine.

If you are worried about the postal code you can ask your bank for a separate address for e commerce orders as you cannot have goods sent to your home address.

VCC needs to be active. Cancelling it will cause this issue, think VCC sellers need to understand this before advertising these services

So like I said most VCC,if not all sold on this forum are a waste of money. Forum members must be made aware of this surely.

Let me know how you get on, amazon ask for the credit card details etc, these can be different from the address registered when you set the account up. Basically they are only interested in having a valid credit card on file. Not a holiday, but thanks for wishing me well.

when i creat my amz account , i used my old address, the same on my old card
So, everything match perfectly, i just changed the name and for now it looks ok, my account is back to normal.

From my experience in both Amazon US and Amazon Europe the 3 digits on the back of the card have never been asked when input charge method...only name, credit card number, expiry date and billing address

yup never asked my 3 digits security code at the back.

Yes they never ask I know, but I was explaining that amazon do a AVS check on the card which has 3 parameters. Only one has to match for card verification.
