Commonwealth Bank Users open/closing accounts

Hi Guys!

For Comm Bank users :

Just wondering how you guys made so many bank accounts? i've created 4 and wish to delete them. I was planning to move all the money to one account and close the other accounts to get more accounts up and running. My question is... what do they ask you if you want to close the account down? Since i have found no online alternative, when you call them, how does it go about?

I am very nervous over the phone.

Do you mean you are going to close four CBA accounts and then open further accounts with the same bank?

Yes that's what i mean... but how do so many people open so many bank accounts without closing them first? And can this be done with the same bank? Or do we have to open a new account from a different bank?

It's a good idea to have Multiple Bank Accounts at different Banks.

Always better to have a variety of banks.

Before you go ahead and close these ones, what are your plans for future stealth accounts?

ya what I do is open a new bank account with a few accounts then close the old ones at the other bank then months later if you need more go back and open more at the bank you closed them at months ago give it some time between opening and closing at the same bank.

Good to have a few accounts across a range of banks, this is very easy in Australia.
If or when a stealth PP account gets suspended (assuming you have no balance left with PP) call up the bank and close it, easy.

What do you mean? Individual accounts or your ENTIRE bank account? CBA is pretty free with all this and allows you to open / close without questions asked
