I, as opposed to you, am actually able to get on with my life. Just got back from shopping at the mall. Had lunch at the cheesecake factory. Loved being able to do all this knowing Im in the company of all vaccinated crowd - as opposed to the UK. LOVE the vaccine passport system. And of course all who enter the mall must be masked - again as opposed to the UK.
BTW - cant help but notice you ignored the breakdown of numbers and the staggering difference between Ontario and the UK. Try to explain that MASSIVE gap between the two countries pal. Go on.
Nobody is claiming this is the T-virus. But to state this is a 'common cold' is not only stupid - its misleading and dangerous. No common cold kills close to 3% of those infected. You do sound like the type of person who wouldnt give two $hits about the ones who die thinking "Im young and ill survive" - its that selfish egotistical assholish attitude that is the problem. If you get sick and infect your parents and grandparents - THEY might not survive. But no surprise with your shortsightedness.
I got on with my life. Im planning my next vacation now (will find a very well vaccinated area with vaccine passports systems in place of course)- cause Im able to actually travel due the fact Im vaccinated. How about you? Done much traveling lately? Im guessing not.

I have a friend who smokes cigarettes and drinks like a fish. He is resistant to get vaccinated because of the unknown long term effects. Yet knowing for 50+ years what smoking and excessive boozing does to the body long term doesn't persuade him or countless others from partaking in either activity.
Bottom line: people need to realize you can't fix stupid. He's still my friend of many years despite being a dumb dumb, because I'm not a whiny-ass and I realize that true happiness and freedom should be a right of everyone, even the stupid.

Your comparing an area with a country.

The UK has a population of around 70,000,000. Ontario has a population of 14,500,000

The UK is 1/4 the size of Ontario but has a population 5 times the size.

That is the same as putting 2 people in a 10 by 10 room and then comparing it with the same size room with 40 people in it and wondering why a virus is spreading more in the room with 40 people in it.

No matter what you do the virus will spread more in the second room. Passports and masks wont stop that nor with everyone in room B being vaccinated.

Population density is and always will be the largest factor when it comes to a virus spreading

Its like comparing an apple to a toothpick.

Like I said - free as a bird within the UK and nowhere else. And it will stay that way for quite some time so best not make any travel plans outside your country.
I myself will be sipping on my drink on the beach next month and again in March. Booked my trips to the Cayman Islands and to Bermuda. But you enjoy the miserable weather over there in the UK pal. no Ibiza vacation for you lol.

The vast majority of the population in both locations being compared is situated in densely populated areas (example the Greater Toronto Area - has close to 6 million people in it) so your argument is invalid.
Even if it IS slightly relevant (which i dont believe) it does NOT account for that MASSIVE gap in infections per capita which are more than 30(!!!) times the number in the UK than Ontario. Read that again - more than 30 times!!! In plain terms - for each single infection in Ontario per capita - the UK has more than 30 infections!!! you think that FACT is coincidence???
Face it. The facts speak for themselves. Ontario has several factors working for it - namely:
1. a much higher vaccination rate
2. Mask mandates in ALL public and enclosed areas.
3. Ontario has a Vaccine passport system in place.
Slice it and dice it any way you wish the numbers speak for themselves.

You set the parameters comparing Ontario to the UK - I was then pointing out the flaw in the parameters you laid out. Again the ratio is the same as comparing 2 people in a 10x10 room to 40 people in a 10x10 room. It just doesn't work.

If you want to cherry pick a certain city then the same can be done over here as there are certain cities and towns that have very low rates. The UK is also made up of 4 countries. Each of them has a different set of rules. Scotland is very different to England.

Its double vaccination rate is 6% higher. So yes higher but again you are comparing very very difference population sizes. Scotlands double vaccination rate is higher thank your last time I looked. But again its got a much smaller population (1/3) of Ontario so that is to be expected.

As they are in parts of the UK. Again 4 different countries with different sets of rules.

That's a choice only your country can make if they are willing to give up their personal privacy and freedoms for that. That is what my opinion is on the matter and its neither a wrong or correct opinion simply an opinion.

I am blow away that you guys are arguing with a person who claims to have done extensive research that clearly has not even read on the manufacturers websites what the vaccine intended use is for. He claims to have done so much research and chose one manufacturer over another due to said research for his own vaccination but clear as day on that manufacturers website they state that being vaccinated does not lower your risk of getting the virus at all. That manufacturer also has less than 50% of its competitors supposed Covid like antibodies with less than a 40% rate of estimated effectiveness of lower your chance of death or extreme illness. Pfizer also does not even have an R&D department and does zero research but instead buys research from its competitors that said member said was a bad vaccine in another thread.

So you guys are arguing with someone who is a self appointed expert but truly hasn't even read any of the manufacturers website. Almost every single thing he posts is pure inaccuracy at best. Such a person is not worth arguing with. He is far and away too ignorant to even participate in the conversation at all.

I saw some reports of deaths, hives, infertility possibilities, im like I'm good, no thanks. Just those reports alone makes me say hell no, and there's even more evidence such as actual deaths, opinions from real doctors, professor of ethics such as the recently suspended head of dept at uc Irvine saying mandates are unethical and possibly unsafe.

I honestly can't believe how a user on here can write so much tbh lol supporting the vaccine. I'm like dude, what credentials do u have? But that's beside the point. It's just the long walls of text I'm more amazed about.

Anyone following the Pfizer FDA investigation? Or that ALL six people in the USA who mix the vaccine refused to take it or any other vaccine all the way to the point that Pfizer was going to have to cease production until the FEDs made them exempt? My closest friend works in Muskegon making the vaccine and his brother is one of those six people in the USA who mix it. They will never take the vaccine. A couple weeks ago 80% of the work force left. They hired Afghan refugees to take their place with no education or skills in the pharmaceutical industry. It is going to be an interesting few years ahead, that is for sure.

all these investigations don't matter , the pandemic itself is a scam. covid is a flu which will never go away. although it might be deadlier than a usual flu the chances of survival after contraction are still >99.00% so I will take my chances and will stay away from any of those vaccines

there is garbage on both sides , the vaccines are neither kill shots nor are they a rescue. this virus will stay indefinitely , there will not be herd immunity and 99% of people do not need any vaccines as their only risk is getting standard flu symptoms

the remaining 1% deserves compassion and help but it is not a reason to force the other 99% to take multiple shots every 6 months with unknown consequences

The vaccine is not perfect by any means.
What it does is manage the infection rates and most importantly the hospitalization rates - so that poor 1% youre referring to actually has hospital beds to get once they need them and theyre not occupied by people from other 99%. Weve seen the hospitals collapse already.
It realy boggles my mind how much selfishness Im reading in these posts. Such lack of compassion and empathy. So much self centered egotistical bull$hit. Shame on all of you.

"covid denier" is a term spread by state propaganda. it is not about covid denial but about denial of the suggested methods to deal with covid

by now the entire population has been exposed to covid , the number of deaths and heavy cases is tiny comparing to the number of people who were exposed

there is a reason why there have been no vaccines against the annual flu outbreaks , this is because vaccines do not work with the flu. and that is also the reason why they are suggesting to do 3 shots every 6 months

we see the tendency , it started with one double-shot for immunity. later on it was supposed to be repeated. now they are saying that a third shot is needed so that people who are not vaccinated are supposed to be pressured first and later on those people who were vaccinated only with 2 shots as they are still "dangerous". in the meantime they are also preparing the people for new 3 shots every 6 months suggesting that the vaccines only work short term. so be prepared to take vaccines indefinitely

soon the people in the west will see that their freedoms given to them in the 20th century in order to fight the soviet union will be taken away from them

it would certainly be cheaper to build additional infrastructure and expand the numbers of beds. the money is certainly not the issue here

the issue is that it is not about the beds but about changing the system. the restrictions being imposed now will never be taken back

Before I read the rest of your post, I'll just go ahead and say this is 100% wrong. In the US, we absolutely have a subset of people that don't believe it exists. Unfortunately, my significant other's cousin just died from it last week... while not believing in it.

Again, maybe it's because you dont live in the US... or maybe I'm missing your meaning, but we 100% have a flu vaccine here. It's about 50% effective, since they can't exactly predict which viruses will be circulating ahead of time.
