this is good for prices in long term but I would not expect to see a bull market now because of this , just another piece of news that leads to volatility

furthermore trump is also a businessman , why would he drive up prices before buying? I bet they already bought or they will buy but another combination and this current move is used by insiders who opened positions in advance

This is for the US treasury,not individuals.
US government so far owns over 200,000 Bitcoins mostly from seizures.
To hold Bitcoins as part of strategic reserve would require consent of the Congress.

you certainly have a point that they might already hold crypto from other sources

I also think that the fact of them holding a reserve will not be a major factor influencing the prices because they are unlikely to get engaged in speculation or any other regular buying activity , some crypto would just change hands and would be lying around for years without doing anything

I may still buy the trump coin , when it goes down. I have not decided yet whether I am ready to get in at $0.10 or should wait until it gets lower
