Ran into some before the huge spike (2 weeks ago). Looks like China is using BTCs quite a bit *cited from multiple news sources*

I hate going into something that everyone is HOT on, but it does seem like not everyone is 100% sold on it, so it should still be viable for the next coming years.

When BTC was at $8, I had the chance to grab 25 of them for some "in game merchandise". Unfortunately, I didn't have the patience or knowhow to jump on the deal at the time. Man what a flip that would've been.

I bought in at the $260 level last July. I would think there would a be a pull back at some point but the block chain payout is suppose to be cut in half later in the year. So I have no idea how to play this one.

I am assuming that you play this the same as a standard stock investment? Or are you using it as currency as well and just running the investment as an upsell to getting paid with bitcoin?

Interesting that people are looking at BTC as an investment. To me it's way too unstable for any serious investing.

With Negative interest rates in most of the world. Massive expansion on Central Bank balance sheets, there is lots of distrust fro FIAT currency. BREXIT, Bank Bail-ins and other factors in play as well.

Bitcoin now trading just under $650.

I'm not loving this. For those of us who never knew you could turn $27 worth of Bitcoins into $800,000+ in 3yrs time do not care its now at $600 per share. It is too late for us, and no longer profitable unless it drops back down to the 2009 price.

Who says it has to go down 2009 prices. I bought in at the $250 range last summer. 100% Plus gains is fine for me. Those who bought in and didn't lose them early on got once in a life time gains.

Bitcoin just hit $700 USD. Wow. :pop2:

Having extra mellow thoughts of kindness towards my brother.

He gave me some bitcoin in lieu of repaying some money he owed me.

I would kind of expect Bitcoin to pull back a bit since it has run up so much. But with the upcoming halving event with regards to payout for the miners I have no idea what will happen. $1,000 Bitcoin is definitely a possibility by the end of the year.
