Haha yea pullback was in order. Chinese Yuan gains pushed it down. Its weird how Bitcoin and USD seem to trade it tandem. They go up and down together. I think they are secretly married.

Reminds me of PayPal/eBay.

I decline to sweat the problems.

Just use to own advantage.

Just don't chase trends. I haven't bought any since the $300 level. I just like when it hit the news. Like anything people get curious about it. :cheer:

Are you ready to defend this 2-3 years down the line? I remember when people called Bitcoin rubbish at $20 in 2012 and I sadly listened to them.

WOW!! Just finished reading this thread and it's amazing how the Bitcoin tripled in value while you all were debating it. What's even more amazing is reading a couple of you predict it's movement.

Re: Any Bitcoin or Cyrptocurrency enthusiasts?

I just bought my first coins. Yeah, late to the party but I wanted to get in before the Winklevoss ETF starts.

I think everyone should have at least 1. Its a currency that cannot be devalued by central banks and has a finite limit of 21 million that can ever be in existence.

The 3rd world is going to turn to Bitcoin in droves at some point when they get tired of their corrupt monetary systems devaluing their money. It will be very similar to how the 3rd world bypassed land line telephones, and those smart phones they are now using are an ideal means to transact in cryptography currency.

There are 1.48 trillion USD in circulation. Currently there are 16m bitcoin in circulation.

Today with 16m bitcoin you get 1 bitcoin = $92,500
Max circulation of 21m gives a single bitcoin a value of $65,000

Question for you guys, how do I pull my coins from coinbase into a private wallet?

JamesNorth101 01-09-2017 07:24 PM

Re: Any Bitcoin or Cyrptocurrency enthusiasts?

You just transfer it from the coinbase wallet to your private wallet like you would from any other BTC wallet

Download Electrum or any other private wallet. Install (follow instructions).

Than you'll be able to send BTC from Coinbase to your Electrum wallet! :)

Does it require the entire block chain to be downloaded?

No it doesn't, it's quite fast because heavy lifting is managed by a server.

I'm aware of Google, thanks.

Its not an easy question to get an answer to because I did a bit of searching and tried to know.

I'm asking a much narrower question.

When you say it's tied to a network, does that mean that my coin has a virtual presence similar to coinbase holding them? Or is it completely and exclusively present in your wallet?

Re: Any Bitcoin or Cyrptocurrency enthusiasts?

Once it goes to your wallet ie your computer or any type of hardware that can store BTC, it stays there, offline or online it stays there. This is called cold storage. You can recover funds by remember 12 set of words if by any chance your hardware gets stolen or damaged.
