Yea, I agree again about drop offs. Unless you are there to Physically hand it to any CARRIER at any shipping service. I always drop them off.
I have been using free USPS pickup for over a year now shipping as little as 1 up to 60 packages a day. I leave them in totes by my back door so it is more secure than leaving them in the open. I have had a couple of hiccups, but nothing major.
Just make sure you use the SCAN form if you have a lot of packages (easier for the carrier to just scan one sheet). I also tip my carrier during X-Mas which keeps her happy

Find it lowers the chances of too many hiccups if you manage to be known to your courier.
