New returns process in ebay........
So i think we're all familiar with the new ebay system where when returns are requested via ebay, that as a seller we have one of 4 options: 1-Accept the return
You pay for postage and can send our return label or your own. Wait to get the item back before you refund the buyer.
2-Give a full refund
You can fully refund the buyer to close this request. The buyer keeps the item.
3-Offer a partial refund
You have one chance to offer an amount. The buyer keeps the item.
4-Send the buyer a message
You can reply to the buyer.
You also have 8 days to resolve the returns process. The story:
Recently a buyer of mine bought something, which was stated clearly what it works with. The buyer bought it and emailed me after receiving it, saying that it doesn't work for his needs. So i reply and ask what he needs to use this product on. He told me something different to what it was listed as working on in the description.
So i don;t argue, i tell him to ship it back to me and i will refund him. He replies and says he will return it. 2 days later he opens a returns dispute. I am guessing so that he did this so he doesn't have to pay to return it, even though its his fault in buying the wrong product for his needs.
8 days or so on i have not received this item back and he never replies to my Dispute messages, ebay messages and direct email messages.
Today is the last day for which i must resolve the matter.
What happens if i don't accept the return?.
