Default Weird eBay buyer.

I had somebody buy something from eBay paying thru PayPal . Now they asked me to send item to a different address in the notes both on eBay and on PayPal . I accidentally pasted the address in the search bar (thought I already copied a different thing) and it searched. That address came up as a business and bunch of bad reviews that it's some crating and shipping company that this address hacked their account on Costco on eBay on amazon etc. some people saying they had something shipped there for personal reason and that it was good. Others sayid they had somebody say nothing was delivered to that company.
Although I probably should just cancel the sale... did anybody have anything similar happen to them?

I would never send it to another address myself. That's just my policy to make sure Im protected under ebay and paypal's policies.
Out of curiosity - whats the feedback score like for this buyer? did you check and read some of the feedbacks left for him? and that he has left for others?

The feedback is only positive with over 700stars or whatever . I actually just got a message from her she never made that transaction (she was hacked) so I canceled the transaction all together. But that made me not be able to relist my item for another 30 days. Oh well.

Future reference: never ship to anything other than the verified address that ebay/paypal gives you. Don't ship to addresses in notes or messages

Nice catch. Good thing you investigated it a bit further or you would have been out your money.

I once bought a laptop from a fleecebay seller who had 100% positives and like 2000+ transactions. Long story short - bought a laptop from them and it arrived but without DVD drive, messaged them... messaged them, eventually replied and agreed I'd send back and they would send replacement. Replacement was v bad condition and had keys missing but with DVD drive.... same again, I trusted their word and sent back only to receive ANOTHER laptop with different keys missing and a DVD drive that stuck out - Frankensteins Monster style....

I decided enough was enough after weeks of this going on and sent an email demanding a refund and was shocked to find "No Longer a Registered Seller" greeting me along with dozens upon dozens of Negatives. I'm guessing that account was also hacked, and luckily I was one of the lucky ones that ended up with at least a working laptop that needed TLC - as opposed to those that lost out. I guess they had like maybe a half dozen laptops that they send out and keep getting sent back to bide them time!!
