how do you process returns on a stealth account?
Address is a made up address.
Been selling close to 2 years no problems. Have won cases so far or been able to give partial refunds and have cases closed. But this is a jerk who stopped messaging and just opened a case, and I doubt I will win the case.
Item is about $35. I don't want to set up a po box/ups shipping address as that will cost a lot more than $35.
(A) I was thinking of using a mail forwarding service. I know these mail forwarding services are abused by scammers, but a lot of buyers use them (I've sold to 10+ buyers with no problems and their accounts are fine). Will adding a mail forwarding service address for returns flag my account?
(B) Second option is to create a label from the buyer's address to my mail forwarding service address and screen shot the label and put a link to the label in the case. This way the address isn't attached to my ebay and I doubt ebay will investigate the address on the return label, they will just go to the link and see it's a valid label and tell the buyer to use it.
(C) Just use the ebay system and tell the buyer to return it to the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address. I did this before and it said "undeliverable as addressed" and was sent back to the buyer. I called eBay and they said "I see your address is verified, our system might have an error printing that label" and gave me my money back. Risk of doing this is of course they might investigate the address and flag my account.
