How to issue a partial refund

I had a buyer saying something being defective on the item and agreed to issue a partial refund and buyer was happy about it.
How do I do this?

After they initiate a return request, you'll see the option to offer your buyer a partial refund appear in the case as a way to respond to the return request.

^ kirkland is correct, or you can manually send the refund through paypal, go the transactions details and there should be a refund option there, input your desired amount to be refunded. That;s it

Don't wait for them to open a case, just go to the PP transaction and choose the refund amount.

Get it done before they get PO'ed and want to return it and get a full refund.

Go to transaction, click refund, adjust the $ amount and submit.
