Andi due to the UK selling laws if a customer wants to return an item or cancel an item within 14 days you have to accept the return.

So rather than making it difficult for yourself, when you get the return request send the customer a message ,ask if the item is still in its original packing ect, once they confirm it is unopened, provide the return address, the return address in no way shape or form has to be the dispatched address.

Sounds like your making things very difficult for yourself. I had Trading standards on to me once, I ignored them for two weeks then said I had, moved to the USA, and got my account switched to eBAY US and then used a virtual address in Florida, one of my customers actually sent a return to Florida, the virtual office takes a photo of the item for you, and asks if you want it forwarding or trashed. Anyway because my Account has a USA address I got restricted 4 weeks ago as they wanted VAT. Ive changed back to the UK site, got the restriction lifted with some photoshop proofs, and I'm back in business. Andi dont give up too soon. There is no way Id give up an account if it was a 5k a month, it all adds up

Just gotta be smart and patient with ebay. If there were an alternative to it, I'm sure 99% of people in this forum would jump to it, but it's reach is just too BIG..

Will Ebay payments eventually require SSN?

Yes. Adyen will require a SSN and/or EIN.

So you know for sure that someone selling their old paint set from when they were in high school with a BIN price of 19.95 free shipping has to come up with a SSN?/EIN?

Yes. I’ve dealt with Adyen systems for years and every platform it’s on requires one or the other. eBay may not require it out the gate like everyone else has, but I’d prepare to turn the info over.

If I was a typical seller, there's no way in hell I'd give up my SSN just to sell sh*t every once in a while.

Then what's your question? Because that's not someone who just "sell stuff every once in a while".

Well, if you are making that much, how about hiring a manager to do your work while you take a break from it?

This way you aren't losing any business.
