This has been a problem for a while now and platforms like Amazon is actually shutting down those accounts. I wouldn't be surprised if eBay is going to follow after soon or later.

You can't just use a person's address like that. Try to use a mailing address that you have access to. This is definitely not that hard to figure out.

In the stealth guide, it says use a PO box address or UPS, etc... plenty plenty of options.

About your package, if it's THAT expensive then fly over and talk to the guy... or talk to the mailman that delivered it. This is tough because you are not in the right either.

The address was not created by me. Since I never had any return before, I forgot to add return address to the account. My item is 100% problem free, so never expect the buyer will abuse the return. My bad. Never thought of that.

I thought people will refuse the package if not addressed to them. Like what I said, if package delivered to me require signature, I will immediately tell delivery person it is not my package. We don't have such person here, please return to sender.

If item delivered to our address by mistake but without signature required, I never kept any single item that belong to other person. I either brought to neighbor if they are not too far or told USPS to resend to correct address.

I just thought every one will do this. I never thought it could be otherwise.

USPS only forwards mail for 6 months after you fill out the application.

Also this could get you in a ton of legal trouble.

I was curious about that and apparently mail forwarding scams are common for identity thieves. Given the party isn’t at the address, you’d technically be lying on the form. Yes it’s your mail but you never had the right to receive it there in the first place.

"The person who prepares this form states that he or she is the person, executor, guardian, authorized officer, or agent of the person for whom mail would be forwarded under this order. Anyone submitting false or inaccurate information on this form is subject to punishment by fine or imprisonment or both under Sections 2, 1001, 1702 and 1708 of Title 18, United States Code."

A person submitting a false change of address form may be imprisoned for up to five years, or more in certain instances, plus subjected to a fine up to $250,000. The charges may be obstruction or mail, theft or mail, and/or making a false statement.“

So yeah, get a post office box or something. Even a digital box that accepts packages you can have forwarded. Not worth the possible issues down the line.

Well, you should add an alternate address before actually changing the original address in the account.
Then later on set the alternate address as a primary.
