It is very likely that small businesses will be exempt OR ebay and amazon etc...will actually collect and pay the sales taxes like Amazon does now.

Where this is headed - the states with larger influences in the online market will start bringing in more sales tax, leaving the smaller states to suffer. Now that there's a cross-state-line level playing field, states who want to stay relevant are going to start upping their sales taxes - and probably exponentially. Not good.
Y'know, VPNs should technically qualify as presence with the new terms being applied to the nexus. You are technically connecting to the internet from a virtual location in order to conduct business...
