Do linked accounts get punished when it comes to search rankings?
Let's suppose that I and my friend each have one main account with eBay.
My account reaches a sales volume of 10,000$ a month and the same applies for my friend's account. One day he comes to my house and signs into eBay using my own internet connection (supposedly this happens multiple times)
Will both accounts get linked and one of them be punished by ranking low in search results? Or will both accounts keep having the same sales-volume unaffected due to the fact that each account belongs to a different person?
I am curios about this because I have three eBay accounts and each one of them has its own registration info (name, address, phone number...etc). However, I noticed that one account will sell good and the other two won't.
Each account has its own user-account and IP, but I've sometimes slipped and signed in using the same IP.
How likely is it that the accounts are linked? Is there any practical way to knowing this?
