Sucks for new seller, if they have to start off selling before EB allows PP on Ayden. :(

After reading the post created and reading the article and talking to another account seller, whom was also concerned from this thread, I created an ebay/paypal account less than 1 hour ago. It still allowed me to link ebay and paypal, add paypal as reimbursement method and approved payment method. This is generally how I make all accounts. I notice zero differences in making the account as normal.
The other account seller then added I needed to make sure it would accept paypal as the method fro accepting payments. So I created a listing and the ONLY option I saw to accept payments was with paypal. I completed the listing with paypal as the payment method with no issues, same as it has been.
So tested, tried, and true. It is still business as usual for now
@donkeykong2012, good catch on seeing the article, but it seems the writer doesnt know exactly what they are talking about or the rep they spoke to was the typical run-of-the-mill idiot. But money is on the idiot ebay rep.

That's good to hear. I wonder if your results would be the same if you randomly picked a few locations throughout the country and made accounts there. They're known to roll everything out in phases..

Thanks for the clarification.
I suspected as such.
It might be rolled out on random new accounts for now?

I can make some more accounts and put listings up over the next couple days and I will keep everyone updated, pass or fail. I don't want to sell accounts that are not functioning how they are expected to anyhow.

Huh? You can still create and use PP on new eBay accounts...
I'm not sure where this is coming from?

The Ecommerce Bytes Article has now been updated.
F*ke News LOL
Update 11/14/18: An eBay spokesperson responded to our inquiry and said eBay was not forcing new accounts in managed payments, stating that was "not consistent with the experience we are providing in managed payments. Right now, this is an invitation-only program for carefully selected existing sellers."
"Sellers are central to creating this new experience, and we've been partnering closely with them to share our vision for the end state of managed payments. We're taking extra efforts to listen to sellers' feedback, concerns and ideas.
"As part of this, we are working with sellers one-on-one to understand whether managed payments is a fit for them. If managed payments doesn't work for a seller, we want to work with them to see if we can help them be successful with the changes, ensure we understand and document what isn't working, and if needed revert their account to the prior state. That said, the process to revert accounts to their prior payment settings can be complex as orders and listings can be in different states, and this process is managed individually with each seller."

That makes a lot more sense
It would be very weird to have it working like the way the article suggested so soon

What it should say is, "after cruising the stealth forums and noticing famed account creator, bjammin, wasn't experiencing the same results... blah blah blah" lol

No way they are going to have new customers guess at what they use for a processor. New customers would get frustrated and say "f' this" then go somewhere else.
Anyhow, I am glad to hear that the story was false. This puts a lot at ease.
