He probably is in America but is dropshipping from China.... I do the same thing my account is a real account that says I’m based in USA and I’m not sure how to change that so I put in the description to allow up to 3 weeks for delivery... if someone asks why it’s taking so long because they didn’t read the description I tell them I noted the shipping time in the description and I give them tracking number... no serious issues yet... if they ask where it’s coming from I don’t beat around the bush... I boldly tell them it’s coming straight from China and I appreciate their patience...

I think OP is a hater... he wants to report someone that isn’t even in direct competition with him...

being based somewhere, is completely different than setting a location for where your product is being shipped from. You can set a different location for every listing.

And "probably drop shipping from China", doesn't make it any better. Just makes an American at fault.

If I ran into someone like you, I'd be pissed as well. OP isn't a hater. He has a legitimate gripe, of something that is a site wide issue. It also makes ebay seem like a place that will take forever for shipping, which makes it harder for the rest of us. It's bad enough the search results are flooded with China sellers, but to not even be able to filter it out to only show listings in America? That's bull****.

Why would you be pissed? Dropshipping is a business model that is not against ebays terms. They know it’s happening but they are fine with it unless the packages come branded with competitors logo...

Drop shipping isn't the issue, and you know that. Don't be obtuse. It's lying about the location, especially when the location turns a normally 3 day shipping time, into a 3 week shipping time. That, is against ebay terms. Not that I care about ebay terms... But it's annoying as hell, and it ruins it for everyone.

It doesn’t ruin it for anyone... imo customers on eBay care far more about price and even more so about fast customer service response time...

that's complete nonsense lol. Why do you think amazon is so popular? Why do you think guaranteed delivery exists? Why do you think you can choose 1-5 day delivery times in searches? Why do you think we get punished for late delivery, and why buyers are asked if they received their items on time? Because people care about delivery times. I'm not going to try and save a few bucks, just so I can wait for WEEKS for an item I can get in days. And if I'm buying something that says days, you sure as hell better not be sending it to me in weeks. Now go into your listings, and change the item location to where it rightly deserves, or you're just as much of a liar as the guy the OP is complaining about.

I don't give a crap about customer service. I buy, you send the correct working item, and that's the end.

Amazon is a different platform...it’s more retail arbitrage with fba... if you don’t want to compete against Chinese drop shipping then go to amazons walled garden and sell there... eBay is the Wild West and always has been...

Its sellers like you that force eBay to come down harder on all of us, with more "rules" in place to make things more difficult. Smh... just put the correct info on where the item is coming from and stop pulling a fast one on your customers and competitors who are trying to do things the right way and losing sales to people who are lying.

Ebay is NOT what people think of as the wild west. It used to be at some point.

I don't care if I have to compete with chinese drop shipping, BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT IS HAPPENING. You are LYING about drop shipping. I'll compete against drop shippers, that aren't lying about the fact. If you and me are selling the same thing, and we both have 3-5 day delivery, yet in truth, yours is actually 25 day delivery, people are just as likely to buy from either one of us. Yet when they are buying from you, it is because you're a liar.
