For whatever reason, the past few days have shown a few sales on egay, perhaps because of labor day? Etsy yields at least one sale a day, so the traffic there seems higher than egay at the moment

The eBay market is working for me, had an upturn last week as at the end of month and perhaps a little more money available. I think it depends on what your selling.

I’ve been the number 1 seller over the last few weeks but today I was number 2 seller and my competitor sold more then me 10 for the day and they didn’t make any adjustments to their listing or price.
So why the sudden drop in sales on my listing?
Any help would be much appreciated. | over the last month, my sales have been down 35%. Sales started to slow about a month ago, with the sales dead over the last week
After doing some research, I don't believe it's increased competition, I have a sales record with some of the cheapest prices. Yes, there have been a few new sellers selling what I sell, but their prices are higher than mine with no sales records.
Im hoping its just the time of year or eBay playing with their site again.
Like others have said, it also depends on what you are selling

My sales have never been better relative to what I have listed. If I had my full stock listed I'd probably be passing 2018 numbers, which for me was my height on eBay, also when they had the most MAU's. I still have to put my shop in vacation mode on a regular basis to prevent a periodic review trigger. I'm finding customers realize this, and then buy shortly after it's released lol.

Like others have said, it also depends on what you are selling | Its usually down to them rejigging their search algorithms in the run upto Christmas period.

Consumers are cutting back on DISCRETIONARY items as grocery, insurance, rent, debt payments have become a bigger burden.
These days you hear the word Discretionary a lot, what are discretionary items, they are kitchen ware, electronics, collectibles, toys, clothes, shoes,g adgets.

Funny enough, it does seem like these weird eBay anomalies happen a few months before Dec
So many times I have asked, ''Why are my sales dead'' then a month later sales explode and the post seems like a distant, irrelevant, memory
Let's just hope that's the case again
