Default Why ebay listing are selling so slow?

I sell cell phones and this is a category of activity and fast sales. In the past i had sales in a matter of minutes after listing but usually 2 days.

Now after 1 week maybe more and no sales

I understand MP affects sellers so it must not affect buyers wanting to buy as they still have the same payment options? As I read buyers payment options are increased so that should not affect the sales

Something is happening to me as well. I have over 50 orders per day and yesterday was my first 0 sale day in over a year. I've also switched over to MP recently and I'm sure it has something to do with that.

no more stimulus check is one reason, not just Ebay, but Etsy as well,
AMZN prime day is June 22-23rd.

Is that trickle-down economics?

May be some thing to do with import tax that just got applied on the 1st. 90 percent of my sales go to other countries and the past 2 days have been super slow,eBay and etsy

This happened to me when I switched over to managed payments last November. If I remember rightly after a few weeks sales were back to normal.

I’m not doing so well this week I’m up around £400 profit which is below my average but I believe it’s competition and a lot of bidding auctions are taken over the category.

Have you checked your impressions, views and clicks compared to the periods when you had more sales?

Theres just too much traffic on Ebay I believe they might be throttling traffic to accounts for some reason

I've just switched over to MP and it turns out I'm shadowbanned from the platform. I've had 7 sellers saying they can't buy from me and eBay chat has just confirmed I've got a suspension on my account. Did you have any of this when you swapped over? Very weird and the eBay rep was even shocked that I didn't get any notice or message about it.

No when I swapped over I had no suspensions or anything just really slow sales for the first couple of weeks.

I would get back in touch with eBay and ask why you have a suspension and how long it will it last

I treid to buy an item from my US eb account using US paypal (both in good standing). Seller was also from US. Tried many times within 2 to 3 days without any success. Then tried it with my EU eb and paypal and faced no problem. May be some technical glitch stopping buyers these days and so sale is slow.

Did you had to upload a photo id and now after few days buyers texting you they can't buy you items. If yes.

My friend say goodbye 👋 to that account its gone .
I had 3 accounts gone down the bush like that.

Me too - still using PayPal on many accounts but sales have declined. Good selling product for years ( 5 per day) is now down to 1-2 per week.

Haha, yes. This is exactly what happened. All my accounts have gone now. This week was my retirement from eBay for good. I thought I could do it in the background as a hobby but even that requires a photo id, matching address, credit checks... it's not worth it. I can sell my stuff on FB Marketplace and Gumtree - it will just take longer. It was a fun ride and anyone saying the end of isn't near is laughable. All that will be left is cheap Chinese junk and it will sit on the levels as 3rd rate marketplaces. I'm seeing 90% of my purchases come from Amazon these days. eBay will never be dead but it's relevance is going to be a huge decline because of this payment method system.

You are lucky if you have other marketplaces where you can also do well. Unfortunately the kind of items I did business with I really have to do it on ebay. I still dream this is only a nightmare that will come to an end but unfortunately it seems it's not.

More competition? Perhaps newer product available by other sellers?

stimulus checks from government have been spent, have .to go back to work, too much competition.
I cant believe the sheer numbers of wholesalers, manufacturers, liquidators and retailers selling on both Ebay and AMZN.
And free shipping and free 30 days return

My thinking is that they need less sales possible, and less problems possible to avoid massive problems with changing MP. It will happen for sure, no way this pass without problems. Also, nice weather, people going out...
