Ebay request a phone call!!!!

I got a email that my account has limited activity until i make i request ebay to call me.
I can choose the time and date.
This account has real info, so that's not the issue.
Also i do not sell much on this account because i know it is very hard to to reinstate on something goes wrong.
They are intrested to know what type of items i sell, i deal mainly with video games but are used genuine items where i buy from stores.
What shall i say to ebay?

I have 4 ebay accounts on 2 paypal account.

Has anyone got this type of calls?

Yeah the calls are real easy. They will just ask you a few questions and thats it. But you need to contact them soon. Usually if you don't respond in 48hrs your account will become limited and they will start asking for more information than they will over the phone. And if everything is in your real name you should have nothing to worry about.

what should i say to them?
I just opened this account today and have 5 listings on it selling accessories. 6th item I got the message.

They are the ones that will ask the questions. If its the MC010 you would need to call within the 48 hours. Make sure you have the info on the account ready.

ebay's phone bill is rising by the minute. Many many many sellers are getting this call.
It's basically who are you, why are you....
Have your info in front of you, Be calm and answer the questions. It's not so painful, more an inconvenience.

Must I call from the phone number registered on Ebay ? Or any phone is OK?

@incnu, It is much better to use the phone number associated with the account. Not doing that is going to add more problems for you. First thing ebay will say is why are you not using the number on file..... make sure the number is not associated with a suspended account as well

just hope ebay dosent have caller id cause they might ask why ur regsiterd address on ebay is in Cail and your phone # id is in new york

definitely call them from the phone number you have on file with ebay and call them as soon as possible.(those 2 factors alone will make it easier for you)
they will ask you a few questions and then you should be fine.
They most definitely have caller id in front of them and will identify you right away so call from the number you have on file.

I have stealth accounts and i am working on back up accounts so future use.

I have taken those questions online and on the phone. They say they take info from public information to make the questions. So if you google the f@ke info you used to register you will give you an edge.

The most important things are:
1. Name and address of info used to register.
2. They will ask you about what you listed to make sure you did not hijack account.
3. Then they will ask you the 4 questions based on public info. Since that info could be wrong answering "I don't know" if it is an option won't count against you.
4. The easiest question is usually the were else you have lived or area code. That was the only ones where you do know have the "I don't know" option, but most time you find the answer on google or it will be the area code of a surrounding city.

Interesting replies. I for one am against speaking to eBay. They could easily ask you something that you were not expecting, and at the very least get you to stumble. If you manage to pass the phone convo they will still keep a close eye on your activity and once your sales satart rolling in, guess what? You WILL be limited again, and you will not have a option for a phone call. You will be required to provide ID/DL, bill, invoices, ect. Everything Paypal asks for except SSN. IMO it's best to send this in when you have the option the first time. That way you are ID verified, and you wont have a problem in the future.

So if you get that message your willing to just give up the account? So if your not going to call them and walk away from the account what would you have to lose by calling them? It's not like people are calling Ebay on their own for fun.

I didn't say walk away. I said you have the option to fax in info. They are gonna require it sooner or later, so you may as well get it over with. Passing that phone call is false security. It's only a matter of time before they put you in a vice to squeeze info out. (and your guts)

If works...have used it in the past to drive an ex girlfriend crazy. She got back with the ex who stole from her, cheated on her and even put her in the hospital.
He had some explaining to do when hang up calls started coming from the house of the woman he was cheating on her with.

If a land line with a published number, the name will even show up on the caller ID of another land line phone.

Oh course you will need the number reg'd with ebay to receive a call from them. But for purposes it appearing to ebay that you are calling from that reg'd number, it will work just fine.
