Default eBay emails

ebay now has a similar set up to amazon with their emails. I think if i answer directly from my email box by hitting replay button from my email box instead of going through ebay it will still send the message like it was sent through ebay.

Im not a tech savvy person but can they track you this way?

like if i were to answer an email on a user account/IP address not associated with that account will they be able to link them just from that?

I am quite sure that they can link you. That's why previous threads have indicated to answer e-mails only when logged in and not via e-mail replies from your e-mail.

Default what if you sent emails to a member

is it a problem when you reply to emails that you get from members according to the old transaction on the older account (which has not been suspended yet but paypal has)

Que? And why a bump?

It is always risky to reply to anything associated with a (suspended) account IF you have a new account on the same computer.

Alway always be aware such actions might cause accounts to get linked

Used to be unless member hit "hide my email" you would reply to their email address. Now you have to go through the system

However, pushauction has a way to reply through their system. I have been using that. Not 100% sure on multi accounts as I only use it for one. But its real handy for a quick reply when you dont want to log into ebay

Its a new system so use at your own risk and be careful

Smart thing really is to just log off, change to right IP and just go through ebay. Maybe a pain, but may as well take every precaution you can IMO

I checked out the push auction site, and that email feature is there yes, but only with the 29.99 per month subscription level - hmm kind of pricey me thinks

I'm on the free plan and it still works. But maybe I will get hit up for fees soon. Pretty sure its been over a month. I wouldn't pay for them.

Be careful. There is no solid evidence on whats shared and not

If its just to avoid logging off, dont risk it

If there is a solid reason, maybe worth a try. But I stress, use at your own risk

You are correct. My trial ran out today and now I cant do anything. So you do need to pay

Its a nice system, but the way they have it so you have to use the system exclusively to be up to date is dumb. Anything you list on eBay wont get put into the main system like inkfrog and auctiva. Major mistake on their thinking for sure. Not importing your ebay activities is going to kill them IMO
