Please wait while we confirm your information.
This may take up to a minute.

^Thats what i get after they ask to verify my identity to become a seller^

I can pass this process but it scares me.

Why is this happening? I think i maybe know why, But I need some Input,

It's got to be something that triggers it. Perhaps the address not existing or being bogus? I can't imagine eBay talking on the phone to every single new seller, they must have tens of thousands registering every day.

I had that, and I just abandoned that account. I must have done something wrong, or been linked. Not sure.

I called it a loss, started another account, and no problems.

This process happens on ever new account i make! it dosent matter if i use a real name and address or phake name it gets the same resualt. I never seen message telling u to call them. i get the message to verfiy my phone and they give a pin which this is normal. also when u use landline as your number they will try and match the phone # to your address.

So you get that every single time? You know when they ask you to make sure sure that you entered the right info? and they give you the option to update the number and says "this process takes up to one minute" and does it again for the second time...Are you getting me....lol.....Isnt this a new process?

Thanks, Also I made 10 new accounts with the info matching as close as i can to real names/adressses and listed items on brand spanking new accounts and so far i havent got popped so i must have been doing something wrong...I think i know exactly what it was....PM me if you want to know

Default Having Troubles with "Contact US" PIN

I'm using Vumber. It has worked fine for months for me. But right now I have a couple of new accounts and I have to call in to ebay to verify myself as a new seller and in the PIN they want. On both of my accounts as I type in the numbers the ebay prompt comes up and says that they cannot verify my account. I have tried several PINs and none have worked. They ask me to keep trying PINs when I went to chat with eBay. They instruct me to go to ebay.com/contactus page. I know if it takes longer than 48 hours to contact them, they will me to send in ID verification. What can I do? Should I chat with customer service. I have stealth info on both accounts. I tried to chat with someone and they finely told me after an hour to go to contact us page and type in "Selling Limit" in which that is not the the problem but I will get the "Trust and Safety" department. So far I haven't chat with the "Trust and Safety" department. Not sure if I should. In the past I would just but the PIN in and say nothing of the above to everything and call within 48 hours and have no problem. One account I have 24 hours left to get a hold of them and the other it's been a week.

Are you talking about the step after you create the account where they want to call you and enter the pin?

I'm talking about after you list something and they want to talk to you and ask a few questions to keep "ebay safe" lol. If it takes more than 48 hours to talk to them they will ask you to send in ID to verify.

Its okay to chat with customer service, but remember its actually Trust and Safety and they are assuming you are not legit, so be on point, and answer None of the above to all 3 or four questions, Or as lakeman stated get creative adobe style and google and have a print out of all the account info, dob, address, ETC..

The point is I can't call them. Because every time I call the 1-866 number and put in the PIN. eBay says they can't verify the PIN number. The eBAy phone prompt actually starts saying it can't verify the PIn while I start typing. I tried with several difernt PIN numbers. Loged on and off several times from ebay accounts. This is happening to two my account through my Vumber service. I heard other people are having problems and ebay live chat just gives the run around for an hour. No help. They just tell me to log into my account and call the number and put my PIN in. I know if it takes more than 48 hours they will ask me ti do a ID verify. I don't want to send in ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ID info.

I got the 3 questions and NONE of them were "none of the above" on one of my accounts!

I was stuck sending in ID & CC statement.

Just a heads up, that sometimes they actually force you to answer!

To me it sounds like either Vumber or your phone is not relaying the touch tones to eBay. I would try another phone if that doesnt work then find a different virtual phone number provider.

I know. They never even give the option to select " None Of The Above" I just say "no none of them" It works everytime, Trust Me I have done it countless times I havent had to send in Docs but im thinking about doing that I just feel they are going to catch on and recognize my voice When they connect me to Trust And Safety After i enter the pin number....and when you enter that pin they connect you to T&S immediately So you know its top priority.

@stealthpirate
But yes change vumber it might be them actually i think thats the problem, PM me for the solution We can help eachother We seem to have the same difficulties. Vumber is expesve anyways i have a freeway....VROOOOM

No its a new process when ebay says they are verfiying your address then it will do this again the 2nd time is not that u didnt pass the first time its just to make sure u got your address right kinda like when u type a password in then it ask for it again to make sure its right. the step after the 2nd time is when you get the call from ebay with the pin this is the step that i was refering to as always been there.
