Question .... ebay pulled all of my listings off.. SAFE to RELIST ?

Hi!

Ebay took all of my listings off the site, reason;

MC019 eBay Listing Removed: Copyright Violation - Unauthorized Item
- Your listing was brought to our attention by multiple members of the community who reported it for questionable authenticity

Anyway, I got no previous warning and the account went to 200postive FB..

how come I have all positive and ebay says the members reported them?

AM I SAFE TO RELIST THEM ? AT LEAST ONCE UNTIL THEY TAKE THEM DOWN FOR 2ND TIME?

Can they close the account if you relist after 1st warning?

thanks

Prob competitors reported you - or an eb ay agent said "Naw this guy is selling crap - punish him".

Either way, I would let it cool - you did not get suspended so why risk? Yes I understand it's a problem but make separate stealth accounts to move inventory.

Be patient with this account - it's on thin ice. Sit tight.

Hi I agree with rsot on everything; let it cool. I had the same thing happened to me; ebay removed my listings with a slap on the hand, i took the tutorial, and i thought i was ok to relist them. But don't!! They let me relist everything and about 2 weeks later, i was completely suspended. Agree also with rsot, i think a competitor reported me. My interpretation of what happened to ME, is that after the warning, they were watching me to see what i would do, of course we all want to relist those items, because that is how we are making money! The ebay account IMO was basically toast for the selling those same items; I think you should do as rsot says and get other accounts lined up; and maybe start selling totally different things on this account. I think it is just a matter of not too much time before you get shut down, esp if a competitor reported you because he/she will report you again, or get a friend to report you.

I had this happen to me too, a competitor reported me. I hate greedy/selfish people like this. I could report my competitors all day long but i dont. Some people are just a$$holes.

Used to be you get 3 listing removals then on the forth one you get a 7 day suspension, not sure if it's still like that or not be better just move to another one for awhile if you don't want to risk it.

It is much more conservative than that now jbluntz
I've been reading about 7 day suspensions on the 2nd removal--and that's what happened to me.

Personally, I ended up having 5 "warnings" before a 7 day suspension, after the 7 days were up, I sold 11 of <different item>, re-listed my old ones again, two weeks later I got hit with a 30 day suspension... I already had scheduled listings due, so I let them run... a week later I got hit with a perm ban....

I some what disagree a little with rsot on this matter though, If this is a disposable account, and you have a disposable paypal linked to it, Then personally I'd relist the items, while working on another stealth.

The way I see it is; you'll keep getting a income, the next punishment is going to be a seven day suspension, after you've hit this state, then I'd completely agree with rsot, cut your losses, and let the account age for a while

But; This all depends on if the account is a disposable stealth, and what items you're selling.

I've had the competitor problem before, and called eBay informing them my items were legit, and I wasn't happy with what was going on... they "claimed" to put a note on my account; Although this was my main account, and after a week(Of no problems) I didn't list the problem item again, so unsure if eBay do infact add/take notice to /notes/

Shane

Edit: No disrespect to rsot of-course. He's been here longer than me, and is more experienced in this area

I think the biggest concern is getting reported again by the competior. He's probably has you saved and is checking your auctions daily.

i had the same problem sometime ago and I challenged ebay big time.. i sent them links of where i had taken the images from and told them that my listings were taken down due to a jealous competitor and I was amazed that they didn't investigate this fully before taking my listings down. I demanded that I wasn't sent a generic computer response but wanted a manager to call or write to me. It was a legit account by the way and they had written to all my customers. I was mad..In the end ebay sent my customers an apology email and told me that an error was done. I relisted my items with no problems. Sometimes its just good to take Goliath on

I would contact ebay by chat and have them replace my items. I did it a few times and it worked for me. As long as you have high feedback that is not questionable they will replace your items if its your first time being reported. Staying quiet and just relisting is kind of like admitting guilt. Sometimes they dont take the buyers side. Wont hurt to try. If one person doesent help then close chat and get someone elce. There is some nice people that work for ebay. Dont just relist, your asking to be suspended.
