So this lady was not happy with her purchase so she asked me to refund her money. I said sure just ship it back and i will refund you. She asked me to pay for the shipping and i said no that it was her fualt for buying the wrong item. She told she was opening a case with paypal. So i get the message about the case. I choose the option refund after she has shipped item. She declines that and escalated the case to paypal. 12 hours later i get a message from paypal saying they had ruled in her favor(typical right) and she had to recieve a refund after she ships the item.(so it was same thing i had chose to do) well she sends it and the item was in a travel case. The case was broken and item looked like it had been beat up and poked with like a pen. Which means i cant resale at all. If she shipped back broken what can i do?

Unless you can prove the item was sent in good order via pictures of whatever, they may see it in your way. But even then I somehow suspect they'll just ignore you. I've never heard Paypal side with the seller.
