Default Benefit of a old buyer account?

Hi.

I was wondering what is the benefit of an old buyer account with 0 feedback? There seems to be people buying them. I looked around and saw that people say that a buyer account no matter how old, when switched to a seller account, will be counted the same as a new seller account.

So does anyone know what the benefit is? My friend has a year old ebay with a few purchases (it's buyer I think). Would that be useful?

Thanks.

Older accounts get 3 vero strikes instead of 1 before being banned.
Older accounts (i forget the exact year) are not required to accept paypal, they can take moneybookers/propay/paymate only.
